Minor factions are factions that are not fighting for dominant control of the dam, but are recognized and may assist in the battle.

I didn't want to have to put in the Vipers, Jackals, Scorpions, Fiends, etc...
Enclave Remnants consists of like 5 people and they don't have much say in the wasteland... they basically don't exist other than in For Auld Lyne Sang when they have a reunion...
If i remember you end up shooting the bright followers into the sky with rockets and they are never heard from again....
And strip factions don't do anything outside of the strip...

I was going for the more powerful factions, with goals and purposes in the mojave, with multiple members you can speak to.\
The Brotherhood of Steel for example had power, and a history as well. They had goals and enemies, and power as well.
In a way, the Brotherhood of Steel could walk all over any of the strips factions, so could the Khans.

Honestly next to the BoS they are my faviourite faction. They are reasonably large and have the best leader

The NCR man there epic and people dont hate them as much as the legion. The BOS is the best there my all time favorite and you cant dis those epic power armors.

The kings are funny, but they have no control. I put the powerful factions, that have control in the mojave.

What do the kings do? They try to be kings and wannabe thugs.
People like the Followers of the Apocalypse are trying to educate and help keep people healthy throughout the mojave, they try to do whats right for general society to make the world a better place.
The kings, impersonate people.... amazing...

I actually love Boomers for their simplicity.
Most other factions have long detailed explanations as to why they do what they do but Boomers don't even try to lie to themselves.

NCR is the best chance for long term stability and they keep everyone safe and free. Brotherhood is just a very respectable faction.

Long-term stability is for Legion.
NCR is... Short term.
They make some nice little promises and people feel comfortable for a decade or so then it all falls apart and it's back to square one with raiders and crap again.
Legion brings the long term stability through excessive brutality. (Yay, new Legion vs NCR? )

The kings are a joke.... they are independent on somebody else! They spend their lives pretending to be who they are not and get upset when people bother them...

Caesar's Legion: Can't say i know them to well as i haven't done the story on his side, by hes got a damn army and hes planning to use it. That makes him important.
New California Republic: They are trying to maintain an order in the mojave, and they are huge. They have an army as well and are fighting for the dam in hopes to bring strength to the mojave.
Robert House: Hes very old and wise, been here done that. Hes wise, without feeling for anybody he feels is not. If he doesn't like you, he will exterminate you (aka BoS)
Yes Man: Hes basically the courier, as you use him under your control. Needless to say, the courier is kinda important to the story....

Boomers: They have a [censored] air force base, lots of territory and ammuntion. They have a society and can fight in a battle. They can also have a bomber plane in the end of the game.
Brotherhood of Steel: They have a history of being powerful, and they were awesome in Fallout 3, they have a society and have purposes for the future of the mojave.
Followers of the Apocalypse: They are looking to educate and maintain healthcare for the mojave, generally they are trying to make the world a easier place to live in for everyone.
Great Khans: Play a big role in the story, being connected to Benny and all. They can also aid you in battle and have a society of their own in red rock. They are also a small army.
Powder Gangers: Can't say i know much of these guys, but they are one of the bigger gangs in the mojave with multiple settlements across it. Hating the NCR is what these guys do.

Kings: They pretend to be elvis.
Enclave Remnants: It has like 5 people.
Chairmen, Omertas, White Glove Society: All very small factions that don't matter for [censored] outside of the strip.
Crimson Caravan, Gun Runners, Van Graffs: Smalltime factions that own stores... thats about it.
Fiends, Jackals, Vipers, Scorpions: Petty little gangs that randomly attack you all the time, they are annoying.

Legion can't last long at all because EVERYONE HATES THEM. Rebellion would arise, local militias, NCR would regain their strength in no time after they got that idiot oliver out of the way, Lord knows the BoS wouldn't stand for that [censored] for very long at all and would call arise the extermination of all legion. Not too mention, khans, kings, followers, and maybe new arising technology of factions.

The NCR is very large, and their troops are honorful and strong. With General Oliver out of the way Colonel Hsu or Colonel Moore would take that position and they are people that actually understand the situation. Legion lower ranks can't think in the field, if their commander dies then they just kill themselves. NCR follows ranks and assume order no matter who dies. With the legion in control the area would just be Easy Pickings

I think if the Followers of the Apocalypse and New California Republic allied, that would be the best choice.
The Followers of the Apocalypse would be under the New California Republic's control, and would work on educated society and maintaining healthcare for all.
The NCR would be the people who take care of the violence, and focuses mainly on defending the Followers and the people of New Vegas.

Basically the Followers aids everybody in New Vegas and the NCR protects them.
And the Brotherhood of Steel being allied with the NCR would be like the Super Troopers.
The Brotherhood of Steel is also focusing on maintaining order and i'm sure if the NCR needed superior firepower they would call on the Brotherhood.
The Brotherhood could also help the NCR technology wise, and help them build better and more efficient weapons.

The Followers of the Apocalypse help the people of New Vegas, the NCR protects the Followers of the Apocalypse, and the Brotherhood of Steel aids the NCR in battle.

Mission Accomplished?

Except the NCR wouldn't do that...
