Abilene Kid LE BB Gun. Seriously. I had no idea that thing was so powerful with critical hits. With Finesse and Better Criticals I'm one-shotting most enemies with it now, plus it's considered a silenced weapon. Wish I had got it on my first playthrough.

Once I found it I couldn't put it down I took out the whole deathclaw pit with it in about 2 minutes never had to use VATS. I can't wait to see what it does in the end game, imagine taking out the the big legionnaire with a BB-gun! :gun:

The Abilene Kid BB Gun is hardly an über weapon.

For the stealth player with all the pertinent perks it is good medium range weapon. Its rate of fire and accuracy hamper it somewhat but it is generally comparable to the Hunting rifle at mid-range.

For close to medium range there isn't much that can touch a riot shotgun with Magnum ammo with a DPS of 400 or 784 (critical Hits) plus the knock-back factor.

The actuality and the factuality is WHO is holding the weapon. You could have the baddest BMF gun in the game if you don't have the points to back it up you may as well throw rocks, and if you don't have that perk well.....

Holorifle, it uses less ammo than the YCS, faster reload, 4 shots before reload, and the dmg isn't a lot lower :intergalactic:

If you can get the job done in four shots (I can name that tune in 3 notes, Bob.) [Oh, God. I'm old!] then the Holorifle is your baby. However, reloading slows it down considerably. It fires 8 rounds in 10 seconds vs. the YCS/186 at six rounds. The Wiki has this stat terribly wrong Considering higher crits plus knockback, I think that the YCS has the edge.

For close to medium range, however, they both fall far behind the riot shotgun.
