Beta=later release. Ugh.

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 4:09 pm

We all know we'll probably get a release date for Dawnguard at E3. However, now, with the beta testing, I'm sure that the actual release of the DLC will be sometime in July. This svcks because I'm not working in June or July and was hoping that the DLC would come early this month. Oh, well I guess.

How long does beta testing usually last?

I have free time until August but I do hope the DLC is released no later than the first week of July.

I hear ya. I'm on holiday for another few weeks. Now I doubt it will be out in time unless I get the Beta. However, beta tests for the patches didn't take long at all.

As soon as we know the final release date, we'll let all of you know as quickly as possible. That way you can figure out your time off work :)

They were holding the trailer for E3 but they just couldn't wait so they let it go early. You never know! :teehee:

Don't rush it. Why would you want a bug riddled mess?

I hope it comes out in July on PC - I really want to play it on my days off. Incredibly unlikely, though...

Well I figured it wouldn't be out until august.

If a game company says "summer" I hold them to it but I give them the widest possible margin... because they're a games company lol.

Which is irrelevant if I score a beta key, c'mon 360!

There is a beta for it. Plus PC and PS3 get it a month later.

I hope it comes out early enough for me to have a few weeks to play before I go back to school in august.
School will have me VERY busy where I just about won't get to play anything.

However right now I have so little to do I am actually wishing I had a summer Job.

I know... that's kind of why I said the whole bug-riddled mess thing. Because he was mad that the beta would add more time till release...

The beta was obviously a planned point in development. It's not like they just decided "let's have a beta!" and knocked back the release date to allow for it.

I want the dlc to come soon. It has been 8 months but yes I don't want it completely bug ridden. However, in my Skyrim there weren't many problems so it all depends. It's just because Skyrim feels empty at the moment.

Something all future releases would benefit from, to be sure.
