1.07 Beta?

Post » Tue Jul 24, 2012 2:03 pm

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1398098-17-beta-update-now-available-on-steam/

So 1.07 was just announced. This is insulting. Gstaff claims that the 1.06 PS3 patch is going to be rolled into 1.07... One can only hope.

What is insulting about the patch? Solves a number of technical issues. Good job.

I think the insulting part is that while PC and 360 are getting 1.7, PS3 will be finally getting 1.6 much later then anyone else.

It is quiet insulting when we have to wait for another patch to get the patch you have been asking for. Will you let us know how bad patch 1.7 is. Lastly hope seems to be the only thing we have.

I find it insulting that 1.7 focuses majorly on xbox360. Ya they need fixed, but everyone does, plus I'm sure the'dy like vanilla fixes too

And the fact we don't have 1.6, I'm glad it may be coming finally but still

If the 1.7 patch improves the bugs introduced by the 1.6, then waiting is not insulting. PS3 players will get better experience overall.

Where does it say it does that?

Probably, because they still wanted to release the 1.6 patch as it is, but from beta testers they knew for sure that it contained bugs, so they didn't want to make a public commitment one way or the other. It is always better to keep silence. Gives you more freedom and produces less insults.

Can you see "if", or you just want to counterpoint for posting sake? The first line in the patch description means exactly that, for me at least.

There is one and only one reason that I can think of why they didn't release the patch to ps3 and that is because of how bad the patch was for the other two platfourms but there is still no reason to keep silent about because if they came out and said were not realeasing it because it would wrack your system then it would make Bthesda look like a good Dev but they didn't and there still in a bad light.

No I was just asking, not counterpointing, no need to be a ninny

Also if a ninny is a very rude or crude word I apologize, I heard the word in a video and thought it sounded cool

The 1.7 will only be of use if PS3 gamers get the DLC...rolling the 1.6 patch into 1.7 makes sense but they could have said that to us ages ago...this companies PR is the worst I have seen...

there is ZERO benefit to rolling 1.6 into 1.7 for the PS3.

None of the bugs identified in the 1.06 release by Xboxers or PC users are addressed by 1.07.

This idea we are getting a better experience is [censored].

we are getting the shaft. It basically means they still haven't started 1.06 for the PS3.

Everything that was meant to be in the 1.6 patch for PS3 will be in the 1.7 patch , it says so in Gstaff's post. Wether or not it will improve PS3 gamers Skyrim experience or not is still doubtful.

@Masycre, "ninny" is short for nincompoop, which means idiot. At least that's my understanding of American slang. Did you mean idiot or were you looking more for something like "sissy" or "whiney bea-otch"?

How does that have anything to do with what I said?

My point is, there isn't ANY benefit to the PS3 community by having to wait so long. This is basically just another '[censored] you' from the folks at Bethesda.

Aside from that, at what point will all the Polly-Anna wear off in here? I mena the idea about how we will get a 'better experience' having waited. They aren't fixing anything anymore. They aren't fixing ANY of the real problems in the game. Most of 1.07 is Xbox. And if you discount the 'general optimizations' bullet, which I really doubt is of any substance anymore, then its pretty clear they did damn near NOTHING with this patch but help people with Xbox and Kinect.

As for the when of this delivery, they said we would be getting 1.6, and it never happened. Now they are following the same process that left us high and dry before.

I was going for something less intense I guess D:

We can only see that when the patch is released.

patch 1.7 will most likely be bad because of what happened to patch 1.6, the beta testers reported problems Bethesda didn't fix them and give it to the xbox, they give a beta patch to the xbox that is not good. Patch 1.7 is now in beta the same as patch 1.6 whats makes you think Bethesda will listen this around because looking at there history they never learn from anything.

I can't see the 1.7 specifics doing much, there isn't much there for us, the stuff supposed to be in 1.6 is another thing, I hope, keyword hope, they improved it a bit for us

True but because we will be getting patch 1.6 with it, it still looks bad. I have said hope is as powerful as any bullet or blade but like a bullet and blade it can be broken if you reley on it too much which well leave you disappointed.
