If i was in their shoes and i am not, i would prioritize quest bugs first, because if they come up with a DLC that ties in more stuff together then if the base is broken, the add on will not work.

The quest bugs have been documented to death and they know what they are. They have to sit down and figure the scripting out. I am not a programmer but i think it would be easier and faster to fix a script than trying to implement a whole new set of feature into the game not even knowing if it is not going to break something else in the game.

Bethesda is not the only company in this boat, I have seen many companies dishing out games and leaving them incomplete, but most of them are out of business or out of favor to their fans. It is said by many that the game should be appreciated as a whole and not be examined in details , well i strongly disagree with that. If one was to live one's life just for the big picture and not its moment, pretty much everyone would have no clue who we are or we we are here for. Beth has an oportunity to make a great game even greater and make special moments in the game what they were truly meant to be.

All they have done so far is dance on one feet or the other trying to adjust to the dance of complaints or even outdo the modding community by implementing a new feature like the kill cam. I say fix what has been broken with patch 1.5 and forget about adding new features for now. Clean the errors in the game and polish it.

Then DLC the thing to death.... i ll give you my support and my money then...

I'm was just playin Skyrim, quest "Book of love" something and was in the end of the quest (I think it was so) and the game hangs and have to Ctrl Alt Del. Yesterday I was playing too (not that quest) and the game run fine. It is time to fix the broken quest bugs and all the problems with this game insted puttin in kill cams and so on.

Hi all,

Don't want to put anyone in the hot seat at Bethesda but i was wondering if you think they are concentrating on the right things for the game right now...

It seems that there is ton of quest bugs that need to be squashed yet, as an example Bethesda decided to introduce the kill cam thus creating itself even more problems associated with the new feature. I was wondering if you were of the opinion that Bethesda should work more on squashing the bugged quests rather than trying to put in more stuff that makes the game cooler. I for one would rather see the quests cleaned up and see new features in a new DLC...

your opinions?

Yes, and no. I think they're releasing small patches because those are the things that can easily be fixed. The stuff we think they "should" release is actually taking more of their time. The community needs to learn how to wait, just a little longer. They're working on the big things, I assure you but those big issues will take more effort to fix. Bethesda probably tests through their fixes as well before they release them to the public. Don't want some big thing to be fixed and have it throw all kinds of other things out of whack, do we?No, so give the devs some time and maybe only use one character if something does go wrong.

I just got an NVIDIA 3D Setup just in time for the 1.5 patch so a big fat NO from me.

More importantly than things looking pretty though, I'd really like to see fixes for all the quest bugs that have already been documented and not fixed yet.

Need I say, "The community needs to learn how to wait". I can bet you they're working on it. It takes longer to fix the big things.

Or.... or... Bethesda should prioritize releasing games that are not so buggy on release over pressures to release games on super-cool dates like 11/11/11.

Seems silly to add "dancing bears" stuff when they have had numerous user reports of stability problems, i.e. crash to desktops.

wait for how long?A bunch of cool people did this in no time.---------http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1359350-beta-unofficial-skyrim-patch-thread-3/----------so what is the problem with bethesda not replicating that or at least fixing the game with the information that has been given to them on a silver platter!

^This especially with a series with such a large fanbase....what did they think we couldn't wait. Only thing that 11/11/11 has to do with is some weirdo new age occult 2012er crap and a bad movie....were you trying to like call upon the 9 Bethesda? mebe teh LoLuminati? Deus Ex 3 took forever could have been better imo but at least it was working. BF3 working. Every other game I bought this year (like 10) working.

64-hz bug is the worst thing and it's not fixed after so many years just transitioning from one game to another ,and optimizations just so bad .. even now skyboost for 1.4 version gives more performance than bethesdas 1.4 or 1.5 patches ,they already released so many of them and just one which optimizes some of the game. it seems that bethesda knows how to paint but not how to code . It's a good game but the coders should be fired .

I agree anything that is being carried over on the Gamebyro.....err sorry "Creation" engine  from game to game including the afformentioned 64hz bug or the bloating ash piles or the flickering distant terrain etc. is just inexcusable....and should be in the forefront along with quest bugs and things that actually impede general gameplay. Past that general optimizations and tweaks to the messed up stats etc and perks in the game to balance it out.....in that order.

Also to prove my politics are not in order with any personal agenda my biggest personal issues is shadow acne and flickering water but you note I mention neither of those.....

'Not-so-buggy' was how I qualified it. Skyrim shipped with a huge amount of problems all in the name of the 11/11/11 date. Another couple of months would have made a big difference as evidenced by the patches so far.

^This......I am sure all software has a FEW bugs aside that being victim to a release date is FTL in the gaming industry. Bethesda does know this it was all about their LOLuminati(do some research on 11/11/11 and Kabbalah) release date. Which frankly worked well like a spell....

Honestly I don't care if they fix quest bugs. If they don't, we can in mods. What I want is more engine fixes. ESP files still don't work right for adding or editing worldspace cells and navmesh.

They're already working on the navmesh problems.

I feel they're doing alright. The game really should have been released later and they could have fixed big issues while more people were working on it, but that's in the past now. It's just a huge game for post launch development to handle.

Things I really liked:

LAA 4GB patch
Adding compiler optimization featured in TESVAL/SkyBoost
Paying some attention to improving the graphics of the game.

These are great nods to the community, addressing issues that we brought up a lot in the forums.

I'm beyond hoping for a fix to the shadows and z-fighting. I'm not a programmer, but from what I understand these elements are buried so deep within the game they can't be helped. They'd need a new engine which uses DX10/11, I think.

If they keep working on game breaking issues (Broken quests and AI) I'm happy. They've already fixed a lot of that stuff, anyway, and for everything they've missed, there's Kivan.
