So Bethesda must now be Working on TES6 or Fallout 4

Nah, most like from previous experience, most of the studio will be working on DLC for a while yet, while some concept work is done on (presumably) Fallout 4.

As was the case with prior games, the programming side will be focused on patching for a while, and the designer side will work on DLC. After a few months, THEN the next project will begin; my bet, again barring Obsidian, etc. getting to do it, will be Fallout 4.

What I'd really like to see, though, is a new Elder Scrolls Adventures game. It's been 13 years, after all!

Nah, they're probably going to be patching Skyrim for a couple of months. Then working on DLCs.

It was stated by Bethesda, when Morrowind was done, they started working on Oblivion right away while making expansions for Morrowind. Same thing for Oblivion as well. As soon as Oblivion was done, Skyrim started even though DLC was being worked on for Oblivion.

Don't forget that along with Skyrim, Bethesda is working on another game wich they have not mentioned. My money is on Fallout 4. If not it still means that Bethesda is still working on 2 games with 2 teams. So I am sure that now Skyrim is done, that team is working on something else now.

As others said, I believe they have multiple product teams, with some talent probably switching between teams at times. The team of people who worked on Skyrim is probably working heavily on developing patches to fix remaining problems in Skyrim, and DLC/expansions for Skyrim.

*nods*

From what i've seen in the past with companies they will have multiple teams working on different projects. Sometimes those teams will share resources moving people around to help with load problems if a game is getting pushed for release. Betting they might have shifted some people from the new Fallout game to Skyrim so they could get it released on time.

Right now I think they're working on DLC for TES5 then they will begin work on TES6 after 1/2 a year or so beginning with concept designs. Hoping Fallout 4 takes place in a new area of the US since they've covered some major areas already. Might be cool to see a revamp of the one of the old Fallout games bringing it into the modern age like when they did FO3.

I would imagine that they have one team working on patches/DLCs for Skyrim, and another smaller team beginning to design FO4.

I'd say they have small teams of devs working on patches and other content for TESV while the rest of the teams move off into other projects like FO4 :D :D

Maybe. I don't really know how many people it would take for the DLCs. If they are planning one like Shivering Isles or Bloodmoon, then I would imagine that it would occupy most of their team.

I think Bethesda is letting obsidian handle the fallout games. For two reasons , one many loved NV and two having two triple AAA titles out in a year or two span would be profitable.

TES 6 comes out 12/12/12

A year in development would be scary.

That sounds like a great spin-off game, only if they don't pull a "Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel" on us :ahhh:

The Brotherhood corrupts anything it touches. The Enclave, as we've seen several times, is awesome no matter what context they are in. I mean, come on, a Republican dictatorship of Americans living in a hole, wearing black armor and almost indiscriminately killing people they used to protect? Where do I sign up?!

vacation

I'm not sure if the contracts for gamesas's employees are THAT lucrative... After all, they have their own large kitchen at their HQ for a REASON. :P

I love how people think they've already started work on TES 6, I think they're working on Fallout 4 and Skyrim DLC, and TES 6 won't be started until Skyrim DLC is alll finished.

It makes sense to alternate between the two franchices. I guess they already started working on Fallout 4 even before Skyrim was released.

It would make more sense to alternate between the two so as to avoid burnout. I'd love to hear them try something new though rather than going back to the well again and again.

If any it would surely be FO4, I for one hope they are taking a little rest after making Skyrim.

Would prefer TES VI but likely to be Fallout 4... unless they give it to Obsidian please give to Obsidian and work on TES VI instead

Of course they're going on vacation/holiday/break, a big production has just finished, and was hugely successful. It's hardly lucrative to have a holiday after working what was probably ridiculous amounts of overtime.

It's the same with filming, you work all out during development, then when it's done you have lots of downtime before the next big project.

Last I heard I didn't see that "going home" was part of the developers' contracts. ;)

Oh it's not, downtime means you get looser handcuffs, and the cafeteria serves burgers twice a week until management get back.

Bethesda should let Obsidian work on Fallout 4 (even more so now that Tim Cain is apart of Obsidian) and Bethesda can get to work on TES6.
