Believe it or not, some of us (I'd reckon a large number, actually, though I obviously have no evidence to back that up) buy consoles because we don't have thousands of dollars to throw at a machine to play video games. Consoles are afforadable; no upgrading required to keep up with evolving technology.
I'd love to have the new Alienware Auroa, but I don't have the money. That's what sickens me about this PC elitism shenanagins, you all act like we console players have millions of dollars, and just choose not to buy a PC, because we prefer the convience of the console.
I understand a lot of people cannot afford new PC's, i am one of those people at the moment, Yet i do own a gaming PC and i do keep it up to date. It does not cost thousands, this is normally what the ignorant will tell you.
Most people would say you need to upgrade every 2-3 years, this is not true, my old XP (not my main PC) has not been upgraded since 2007 and can run Skyrim albeit on low-medium settings. People forget also that a Console game is £10-15 cheaper on release so if you're the type of person to buy a lot of games you can use that money in the long term to pay for any upgrades.
OT: That said, if Bethesda has no plans at all to release any of what we saw as DLC, then i would hope they at least stick it up on Steam workshop. Not PC elitism or what ever that bull is, if the company won't release it then surely the devs can release it as a personal mod. Although, i would rather they release some of it as DLC so we ALL can enjoy it together. If that means paying money then so be it.
