I tend to find loads in first aid kits. I'm going to ask a really stupid question - and I apologise beforehand - but have you found any outside of containers, so that you know what they look like? They are like thick matchboxes IIRC. I know that's probably really patronising, but if I didn't "point" at it, I wouldn't have recognised them as lockpicks (i.e. bobby pins) just from sight.
