Breaking into Dark Brotherhood?

Well, it really depends on your definition of "100% good", doesn't it. Do you mean the Paladin of Light and "Justice", or simply a kind-hearted person? Because as fantasy has shown us over and over, the paladin can easily stray from the "good" path by adhering only to his code, when the world is much more complicated (see Justicars in ME for a contemporary example). Also, crime isn't inherently evil.

All that aside, a good person would not kill Grelod, it's really that simple. I've considered a lot, and murder is not an acceptable solution to the problem in Riften Orphanage. If you think so, I believe your moral compass might be a little off (think as in, if this were real life, it'd be alright). The Dark Brotherhood being only the instrument of killing, and therefore not evil is total horse manure. They're a bunch of sadistic killers, plain and simple. Hasn't stopped me from joining them though ;)

Both the assassin and the employer are just as bad as the other.

Of course, there are shades of grey. It's not that simple if the employer hires an assassin to kill the equivalent of Hitler, and it depends on why the assassin is in the line of work that he is.

Grelod is like a gate to joining the Dark Brotherhood. Any Dovahkiin that would kill Grelod is effectively a hypocrite if they decide to destroy the Brotherhood: By killing her, they've already proven that they believe murder is a viable solution to solve a problem.

This is one of those "Would you kill one person to save the lives of hundreds" questions. Would you kill one cruel old lady to have a chance at ending the Dark Brotherhood's killing spree across Skyrim? In my mind a perfect hero would take into account the greater good and do what's best for the people of Skyrim. Who benefits if you kill Grelod? The kids, and any future kids that might be sent there. Who benefits if you kill the DB? Countless people across Tamriel. Who benefits if you let Grelod live? Only Grelod.
