i hope Brotherhood of Steel are not in it
all the fallouts seem to be based around the Brotherhood of Steel or the Enclave
the outcasts would be interesting
but it would be nice to see something new
a new group with power armour
We already know the Brotherhood of Steel is in the game, but you might find it comforting to know that this time around, it sounds like they won't play that major a role.
I won't be at all surprised if the Brotherhood of Steel isn't like in Fallout 3, though, in fact, I'd be surprised if they were, because this is the west coast Brotherhood we're dealing with, not the eastern detacment under Elder Lyons' command, and he was the one who decided to deviate from the original mission of collecting technology in favor of something that has a more immediate benefit on the average people of the wasteland, and the Outcasts show that even on the east coast, there are those who don't approve of this decision, the fact that the eastern Brotherhood has evidently lost contact with the rest of the Brotherhood back west also indicates that they don't like the decision either. Only people who only played Fallout 3 and assume that the entire Brotherhood is like in the Capital Wasteland would be surprised if the one in New Vegas wasn't, and only if they didn't pay attention to what was said in the game, because it's not like the game doesn't acknowledge that the Brotherhood in it has deviated from its original mission, even though you might think it doesn't from all the crying about it.
Regardless, though, I doubt we'll be able to join the Brotherhood, at least not as an alternative to Ceasar's Legion or the NCR, we can probably do some quests for them, but I don't think they'll play such a major role in the game. But regardless, if you can join them, I guess I'd try it once, at least, to see what it's like, if I liked the quests, than I might do it again, and if I didn't, well I would never have known thatr without trying.
you can't kill one of the 2600 characters
We know there's one unkillable character, but we don't know who it is, and I doubt it's someone in the Brotherhood. I suspect it's someone Obsidian really has a reason to not want us to kill, why? We'll see, but there must be something special about that character, and I find it hard to imagine that he'd be in the Brotherhood of Steel.
