Walking around the city looking for it would've taken less time than posting on the forums. Which city?

5000 gold is probably Breezehome in Whiterun. It's next to the smith by the main gate.

Every time you buy a house, you get a miscellaneous quest to visit it. That'll give you a marker.

If I remember correctly there's even a marker pointing to it.

Clearly this game doesn't hold everyones hand

In case you're still struggling - go to your quest log. In Miscellaneous there should be a line saying "Visit your new home in Whiterun." Click that to activate it, and then hit show on map. Go to Whiterun. Bring up the Local map (not the world map), and check the south central area for Breezehome. Whammy.

Well, if I remember correctly, the Jarl's steward offers to sell you *Breezehome* so that might be a good name to look for....

Breezehome is next to the warmaiden.

5k but I made back half that in a night of thievery on my thief. Cleaned out whiteruns citizens :D. They were none the wiser

I should really start to leave behind a calling card!

Go back to the guy you bought the house from and purchase upgrades to your home. Also, Google is your friend.

This is why Skyrim will never be GOTY!!!!

People can't find a simple house in the middle of a empty tundra!!!

LMAO....

Seriously, how do these people even manage to turn on their PC/gaming consoles?

Visit the steward again. He'll sell you furnishings AND will take the time to place them for you and clean up a bit. When you bought the house, did you get a book on decorating? It details what is available in each decor package.

TES VI is going to be really casualized now, LOL!

I seriously hope Bethesda doesn't see this thread.

Hahaha, I started to leave a calling card on all my victims that I assassinated. I had a ton of iron daggers I didn't feel like enchanting at the time so I'd leave one on each person. Now if I could add a note, "You've been had by....Ace Ventura, Pet Detective"

the sad part is the guy tells you all this, and gives you a book called something like 'how to furnish your damn home'. And its in the quest log. with pointer arrows.

There is a point when its not just aimed at casuals anymore, people need to learn to read. or listen even, since its all voiced anyhow.
