Building A Gaming Rig For TESO

Any system that can run WoW is good enough for this game.
Don't expect Crysis type graphics, or even Skyrim standard.

Be best to wait a few years after bug fixes and driver updates

I can get the laptop with the above specs real cheap. Like $200.
You're going to need to help us out a bit more.

Are you looking to build a desktop? What's your price range (what is the highest you could possibly go)? What are the specs of your current computer?

With that laptop you might be able to play the game, but I doubt you'll be able to max out the graphics, let alone play any modern games.

Intel Graphics means that there is no dedicated graphics processing(Okay, there are some dedicated transistors inside the processor, but that's not the point.), and 3000 isn't that good. If it was Sandy Bridge(4000), it may fare a bit better, but not much.

As Shadowbeast said, you'll want a desktop if you're hoping to max it out with a sane price.

(Note: Depending on how big the raids are, you likely will not be able to keep max settings inside a raid with decent performance without a very nice(Read: Expensive) computer.)

This isn't mine, but this thread, as well as the linked post, is extremely good.

I'm not going to read other peoples post here but my suggestion is to whatever you do DO NOT go out and buy a pc
at a retail store... either buy something that shows you how to put one together so its a learning experience or have
a custom rig built by a company... personally u wont lose... check this link:

Intel i5 2500k ( or w.e the ivy bridge is)
8GB of 1600 ram
an AMD 6850 or Nvidia 560ti or higher gfx card
a 1080p or 2.5k monitor

a motherboard, and case to fit all that, plus after market cooler and good power supply.

The Hero Engine isn't exactly designed to bring you top end graphics. Any 5 year old machine will likely be able to run it at launch.

Its a mmo. Any old junk will run it just fine.

You really are a noob if you think any old junk can run an MMO.

This is my set up but in the GW2 BWE i was still getting poor frame rates so client optimization is key to a great running MMO.

W7 64 Ultimate
Intel CPU Core i7 3960X Extreme @ 4.6 GHz x 6 cores
Asus Rampage IV Formula X79 Motherboard
32GB Corsair Vengeance Quad channel (4x8GB) DDR3 1600MHz
Dual AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB in Crossfire
512GB solid state SATA Crucial M4
2TB SATA III HDD
1200 watt Corsair Gold Series AX1200 Modular PSU

I recommend that everyone gets a SSD,especially helps with loading times.

Laptop means no big screen, and no gaming keyboard. I just couldn't live like that. :P

WoW will run on anything, but most recent MMORPGs require decent computers. Really, it's WoW that is the only exception.

I find that MMORPGs run better if they each have their own dedicated SSD. When it comes to raiding I'll do every practical and superstitious thing to increase performance. :P

I'm saving up to get the Alienware Auroa, myself. It's a lot of money, but I'll be able to scrounge up two grand extra by next year. I have to admit, it's always been kind of a dream of the nerd in me to own one.

No better time than the present, now that I have an excuse to start saving.

That's what i had before my latest set up,AlienWare Aurora ALX R3,way overpriced and the components they use are not top range, they do the job though..

I replaced it with this set up..

W7 64 Ultimate
Intel CPU Core i7 3960X Extreme @ 4.6 GHz x 6 cores
Asus Rampage IV Formula X79 Motherboard
32GB Corsair Vengeance Quad channel (4x8GB) DDR3 1600MHz

You are better off building your own or buying from a site like this
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=43&catid=2053&sortby=priceDesc . Start with a bundle then build from there.

Don't get me wrong,i loved my Aurora ALX R3 but for the price i paid for it i could of got way more bang for buck,i ain't going to slate AlienWare or Dell.

PS. Make sure you pout a SSD in it as well, best upgrade anyone can have at the moment, loading times are fab.

SSD Take your pick http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=701&catid=2104

Lag can be caused by the game. It's not always your set up that will give you lag.

Did you read what i said about client optimization of the GW2 client in WvWvW and DEs.

I don't need a lesson on lag..lol.

Okay, you've been needing help for the past week it seems from your multiple threads and questions in other peoples threads so lets just figure this out here. What is the most you can spend or are willing to spend (you were going to buy components on credit which leads me to believe you don't have a lot of spare cash around)? When do you need this by and are you willing to wait? Do you want a desktop or a laptop? You're all over the map with what you've been asking so lets just get this as uniform as possible and we can help you from there.

It seems you're asking us to find the cheapest computer that is going to run games on max settings and the reality of that is you're not going to find that very cheap.
