Use it as an excuse to get two GeForce GTX 690 in SLI mode. I mean, we all have pools of money, right?

Anything will do, but since you make a custom build I hope you put a big "Thank you Beth, amazing!" sticker on it :frog:

Judging by the screenshots, a Core 2 Duo, 2GB of RAM, and a GTX 8800 will do you just fine

MMOs are made to run on everyone's computer for the most part. You can probably run this on a 5 year old Laptop and it will still look good (As good as its going to look)

It was 8800 GTX and it won't do as most of those suffered from failure during the soldering of the GPU on the board, leading to desoldering in about 4-5 years of use ;-). Since the Elder Scrolls Online seems to be taking (too) many clues from WOW, I guess that whatever gaming stuff currently available will do.
By the way, I doubt the game will be released before 18 good months, so your post is currently totally useless as in 18 months, many things will have evolved in the wonderful hardware world.

The game launches next year. 18 months would put it right around the beginning of 2014...

And in 2014 a gaming computer built today would be "obsolete"" by enthusiast standards...

lol, any old piece of junk will run this game.

IT'S THE HERO ENGINE. which means dynamic lighting/shadows and high quality textures that would necessitate a good setup will basically be non-existent.

Probably,

Minimum:

- At least 256 MB of RAM.
- At least a NVIDIA 128mb Quadro or 8600M 256MB GT graphics card.
- 1.0 GHZ processor or better.
- 20 GB of HD space.

Running new mmos on max , like ToR or GW2, actually require decent rigs.

Make sure you have at least 3 potatoes and a turnip. If you want to max it, I'd say a Commodore 64 OR one of those fancy Nintendo Entertainment Systems.

Why don't you just build a rig for Skyrim? You'll be able to play all of the Elder Scrolls games on max along with TES:O
