No it's a game for the original Xbox, but it should be backwards compatible. So from what I've understood you'd be able to play the game on the Xbox 360 with the Xbox disc.

I remember fondly playing Call of Cthulhu on PC quite a few years back. loved it, starts out like a detective adventure, and turns into a survival horror with essence of Bioshock/Resident Evil at some places(before bioshock though). some really tense moments & exciting set pieces, not a mainstream game, think of Call of Cthulhu as a top notch B movie.

A short story written by H.P. Lovecraft in 1926, published in Weird Tales in 1928.

Yep, I chuckled when I saw the title because I got the reference :)

I really hope they make a game like this. An apocalypse like game were Cthulhu tries to enslave the human race again. Kinda like an RPG or something of that line, maybe just a town has been excluded from the rest of the world and a Great old one decides to make it his domain.

Unfortunately Headfirst Interactive (creators of the original DCOTE) have now gone out of biz =(

Y'know what though Ray, now I think about it, a long time has passed eh? Headfirst may be gone but Bethesda themselves might have some interest and they certainly have the vast web of contacts necessary to drum up a production house that might be interested in an out-and-out sequel or even in just another H.P.Lovecraft-based game.

Lovecraft and Cthulhu are more popular than ever - a huge cultural meme which the vast majority of the gaming public is aware of. A valuable franchise, surely. Chaosium are clearly very much up for creating licensing opportunities these days too.

Is it too wild a hope to raise a flag here and say, "Hoy! Bethesda! Lets have another Cthulhu game!"

FWIW, I'd love to see Starbreeze hired to develop a sequel to DCoTE.

The http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a332/Slik_Power/ACTIII_Zepplin.png is still floating around, as well as a http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a332/Slik_Power/dedvd1.jpg

Perhaps Bethesda would be interested in producing it one day (wink wink, nudge nudge).
