So we can now change our looks but not our race? lame.

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 3:21 am

It sorta defeats the purpose since we're still gonna have to go through that tired, lame intro any time we want a new race.

Bethesda keep failing at every turn. Seeing the intro for the 50th time aint cool.

You don't have to see the intro, it auto saves right before you hop off the cart...

And I don't see how not changing race is lame. There was no time limit in the character creation so one has all the time they have to create the perfect hero.

Let's look at this realisticly, how could you magically change race mid game?

An option to change your hair mid game makes sense, facial surgery... Barely, but okay. Call it magic. But race changes go a bit far.

There could be some technical issues with changing races as well. Powers need to be switched around, some dialogue conditions are changed. I don't know. How well does changing race with the console work ingame?

The intro ends the moment you leave Helgen keep, thats what I was talking about. Oblivion and Fallout had an option to change all details before leaving the intro dungeon.

Wow... Get your head out of your [censored]. Bethesda never failed. Skyrim is their biggest succes ever. Anyways, just get a "new begining" mod. If you're on console, then just live with it, because Bethesda isn't going to let you change your race. That just doesnt make any sense

Yes.i would be perfectly fine with hair and/or makeup(warpaint). So the barber is a good thing to have but change race mid game, not so much.

Changing race mid game makes no sense, plus it would screw up your skills since they all have different base values.

All you beed to do is watch the intro 10 times, 1 for each race and save it after the dungeon but before you start moulding your character. That way if you wabt to start a new game you can and not waste time on the intro. There, simple solution.

Then include an option to recustomize everything before leaving Helgen keep. I know a lot of people were sick of the Oblivion intro, and Im damn sure a lot of people are sick of the Skyrim one.

Whenever you've posted on these forums, it's to deliver some scathing criticism or other of Skyrim. Sometimes, it's deserved. However this crosses the line into the ridiculous; or rather, how much you've blown this out of proportion is ridiculous.

as said before, if you were able to change your race mid game, not only would it not make any sense, but all the stats, skills, and dialog would have to be reset. no, thats just too much to change mid game. bethesda got it right on this one. That being said, i do understand you tiredness of the intro, i too have done many, many........many characters and it does get tedious going through the intro every time

ok, I see now. wanting an instance, namely at the end of the cave completing the tutorial experience, an option to change your race/gender/looks/etc etc that's reasonable. don't see a problem with wanting that.

It's a ridiculous request asking to change race or gender mid-game.

Alot of people including myself asked for a 'plastic surgeon' of sorts and im amazed they have actually decided to put one in a DLC so soon, if at all! *if its true*

I agree that changing race mid game is just not needed; makes no sense and would cause all sorts of problems.

Being able to change your hair and warpaint however is something that will add to the experiance.

Changing race mid-game would be totally wacky and lore breaking I personally think. Not sure how this not being a option is considered a bad thing.

Poorly.

No, it's your expectations that are simply ridiculous. You should learn some gratitude.

How is this lame?
You're either the character you started with or you're not, if you want to change your race make a new character.
That is completely ridiculous.
