I don't think so because if you a vampire you can't join the companions and if you a werewolf you can't join the vampires ..both sides will cure you

Depends.. Can you join the companions as a vamp?

Yes. But the Lycanthropy bit cures it and replaces it.

a nord warrior can join the mages guild and a mage or thief can join the companions.

so of course you can, as long as you keep your stage low.

Except, y'know, they're not really devoted to wiping each other out, like the Dawnguard and Vampires are?

I think you will be able to.
Spoilers from http://www.gameinformer.com/games/the_elder_scrolls_v_skyrim_-_dawnguard/b/pc/archive/2012/06/05/hands-on-with-the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-dawnguard.aspx.
Spoiler

It seems Harkon, the master vampire need to sacrifice his daughter, Serana to use the elder scroll to block out the sun. I think she will go to the Dawnguard for help. Either that or Serana and her mother will take Harkon on. Just speculation though.
