Can you top 32 minutes in becoming leader of the Companions?

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 9:38 am

Who'd want to? Is this WoW now?

What the hell does WoW has to do with anything?

Stop just throwing WoW around whenever someone says you don't like.

Spoiler
You can get two side-jobs that require you to do barely nothing. So basically, join them, beat up a woman, get coin, do the trial, beat up the same woman again, become werewolf, kill some sliver hands, free the original leaders werewolf form aaand.. tada.

But OP doesn't have video proof of him succeeding in getting lol-idiculous sidequests and beating the companions quest line in half an hour.

Hahaha, yeah, I remember getting a quest to beat up the Unbroken chick in Bannered Mare. So much for ancient and honorable order of valor.

A questline can be done in half an hour. I think this is a pretty good reason to complain.

No its not, if you want to run through without taking your time to do anything other than getting from point A to point B then you get everything you deserve. You could say the same about any game.

I've done the quest multiple times in the proper way but for fun I thought I would see how fast I could do it. I don't have a vid but sprinting through everything you can imagine it wouldn't take very long. Especially if you knew everything to do before hand.

This was just meant to be a fun post and not a critique on the game whatsoever. Just something different and fun to try during your time with Skyrim if your interested

You know that's the way I took the OP, something to do for fun. And while I usually hate ASSuMEing anything, I did figure that the questline had been played through at least once before but probably more.

Like some ppl like playing DID. My Husband and I would do our own little mini-game with RDR.. who could clear out a bandit hideout the quickest, he usually won. He's a much better shot...all those "shooter" games that I don't really like.

Love how people loyally defend the cutting down of the game. "Oh but at least there are so many lovely DISTRACTIONS"...

im not sure if your understanding this topic or not, hes asking how many people have just done the core whats needed in under 32mins by just doing minimal thats needed not saying the quest line is to short as most people will be clearing out loot etc and fighting other things on the way and will take much longer to complete.

its like doing a level on say starwars lego but not collecting any hidden or all the studs is best example i can think of,

Exactly. No looting, no fighting if you can run past them and zone into the next room, things of that nature. Certainly not the way its meant to be done but after you've done the questline multiple times its something different to spice it up.

Morrowind could be finished twice in 32 minutes but people still go on and on about how it's the best thing ever.

Probably, my first and only playthrough of the Companions couldn't have been more than an hour.

I never took you as one who used fast travel.

I shouldn't have to artificially inflate the questline with LOLSCENERY just to extend the questline's depth or guild quest experience.

I know lol.

Skyrim is such a good game that even those with a huge list of things they hate can't stop playing it and posting on the games official forums.

People complain that it is a step back in the series. Just because they complain doesn't mean they can't play it -.-

Morrowind could be finished twice in 32 minutes but people still go on and on about how it's the best thing ever.

Morrowind had a wider range of quests outside the main story line which is why it took so long to complete. Skyrim probably doesn't have half as much, and most of them are radiant A.I 'fetch' quests.

... I've seen people beat Morrowind in less than 5 minutes.

This is about a speedrun.

That's what I'm thinking too. Even with the ability to fast travel to every location and a really powerful character there are still elements of time that you can't control (meetings under the Skyforge, the werewolf sequence, the funeral, etc.). So yeah: video or it isn't real.

Really is that how you interperate it? That figures.... now I understand how people like you manage to pick on everything Skyrim has to offer ! I figured it was a competition myself, much like when the developers did their race through pre-release. Oh well I guess it depends on your perspective.

To be fair, even if you don't speed run it, the questline is extremely short.

well not you obviously, other maydo, howabout more contructive posting in future hmm? brain wave?! nope sorry just interfearance..
The game isn't really designed for power gamers. There's some lip service - fast leveling and all - but only a dedicated, fast traveling, quest grinding min-maxer could do even a shortish questline in half and hour. Doing so is bound to leave one unsatisfied.

That's because he finished the entire quest line in this time. Even if you don't rush it, it's extremely short. The way people do speed runs of Morrowind like that is by skipping all the quest lines.

Yeah. If you actually do the "quest" part of Morrowind's main quest, it would take several hours even exploiting and speed-running all over the place.

No, I can't top becoming Harbinger n 32 minutes, but I did become Fighters Guild Master in just over 1 hour in Oblivion.

I would never want to be harbinger in 32 minutes. I could sort of believe that could be done maybe.

But Oblvion has 19 quests that need completion to become FG Master. That would be about 3 minutes per quest. Including dialogs. That seem very hard to believe. And some of the quests require travel and wating.

Maybe, I did a speed run two nights ago through it in about an hour, If I were on an easier setting I may be able to.

I love how people manage to find something negative to say about Skyrim no matter what the topic! Its quite amusing...
There's always something negative to say about it. There's negative and positive about Skyrim just like any other game.
