A little challenge for all you guys. It's the shortest of any of the story quests so he how fast you can do it.

No, I can't top becoming Harbinger n 32 minutes, but I did become Fighters Guild Master in just over 1 hour in Oblivion.

It probably takes me 32 minutes just to get to the tomb at the end of the questline from Whiterun.

Probably, my first and only playthrough of the Companions couldn't have been more than an hour.

Why would I want to... Speeding through it like that just takes away from the game...

Love how people loyally defend the cutting down of the game. "Oh but at least there are so many lovely DISTRACTIONS"...

No I did it on the easiest setting. It's not really about how quickly you can kill though, its more about knowing the quests. I've done this questline on 7 different characters so wanted to speed through it this last time. I was a bit surprised when I finished and it hadn't taken very long.

I love how people manage to find something negative to say about Skyrim no matter what the topic! Its quite amusing...

I know lol.

Skyrim is such a good game that even those with a huge list of things they hate can't stop playing it and posting on the games official forums.

I know rite. It's only a topic on how short a major guild questline is. You have to really work to turn that into a negative?

Really is that how you interperate it? That figures.... now I understand how people like you manage to pick on everything Skyrim has to offer ! I figured it was a competition myself, much like when the developers did their race through pre-release. Oh well I guess it depends on your perspective.

Spoiler
You can get two side-jobs that require you to do barely nothing. So basically, join them, beat up a woman, get coin, do the trial, beat up the same woman again, become werewolf, kill some sliver hands, free the original leaders werewolf form aaand.. tada.

But OP doesn't have video proof of him succeeding in getting lol-idiculous sidequests and beating the companions quest line in half an hour.

Personally? Who cares how fast you can do it? I mean, in a game like Skyrim, it's kind of a bonehead play, you know? This isn't an FPS skillz challenge type of game. I could watch the entire LotR trilogy on FF in 32 minutes too, but it would be pointless, wouldn't it?

The point was that having a lot of interesting distractions is actually a good thing but the mentioning of it was turned into a complaint regardless. ;)

Sorry, but that is absolutely not the topic. Read again. Speedrunning has btw nothing to with how long a game is (hl² in 13 minutes, man that game must svck!).

I beat the main quest in morrowind in about 15 minutes but everyone still has a huge hard-on for that, don't they?

I've done the quest multiple times in the proper way but for fun I thought I would see how fast I could do it. I don't have a vid but sprinting through everything you can imagine it wouldn't take very long. Especially if you knew everything to do before hand.

This was just meant to be a fun post and not a critique on the game whatsoever. Just something different and fun to try during your time with Skyrim if your interested :)

Yes, 100+ hours in and only completed the first part, and it's great.

A questline can be done in half an hour. I think this is a pretty good reason to complain.
