Cant Stand The Majority Of Society.

Do I feel like that? Some times, everyone does.

I don't hate people in general, I hate a certain kind of people. People who are ignorant but stubborn, people who can't make informed opinions for themselves but blindly follow anyone because it's easier and people who whine and complain about things they can do nothing about, or even worse, can do something about. I hate people who can't be reasonable, who get riled up about the slightest thing, thinking with their hearts instead of their brains. Some say that's a good quality, it can be, but it's usually not. People who let their emotions do all their thinking are just annoying to me, because they are almost never able to look at the big picture and rarely think about things rationally.

I'm sure a lot of people hate my type as well. I'm not perfect, but at least I admit that, and people who don't are the people I dislike most of all.

But in general, no. I don't hate people, only the ones who give me a valid reason to. Hating people for no reason at all would make me one of those people I listed earlier.

Blaming it on technology is lazy. Technology isn't at fault, people are.

My computer did not make me lazy, I've always been lazy. Technology will not make a stupid society on it's own, people who rely on it for everything are doing it to themselves. Technology is a wonderfull thing and can be used in incredible ways, look at what technology has given us and tell me it's not worth it.

Oh i wasn't blaming technology as a whole but the idiocy of people who can't live without it. Yes technology has brought us advances in medical research and scientific research but would you let say some people to use this technology to have a longer life even though they aren't bringing anything new to the table? Say for instance the cast of jersey shore would you want them to live longer because of their wealth (Theoretical) or by them advancing said research? Their are some things the public shouldn't be allowed to have. i am sorry if i go off course at times just got back home from graveyard and very tired.

I think the problems here is that too many people are willing to feel like everything and everyone is [censored], and as one person mentions the world is [censored], more people are willing to follow that line of thinking. Not to mention, I notice there is a rather sizable group of people who would rather wallow in their deep hole of cynicism, instead of just letting issues go, ignoring it, or [censored] doing something about it. Best to do nothing and become bitter, huh.

Seriously though, a lot of people on this board are beginning to sound sounding like Stan in the most recent episode of South Park. Would link clips, but there's plenty of swearing, and I think that's not allowed.

I have to quite agree with this. Some people I've talked with think I'm na?ve because I don't have an overall distrust/dislike of people, but that kind of thinking bothers me. Some cynics will complain about how all people treat other people like crap, and then they'll turn around and do the same to people they don't readily have experience with. Well, y'see, when you don't treat people well, they won't treat you well. I know there are people that are "bad", but sometimes you gotta just approach a situation with a smile, a real smile, and it'll improve on it's own.

Basically, the solution to the world being "[censored]" isn't treating it like [censored]. You create your own hell, as the saying goes.

Should we deprive you of a dictionary because you can't use proper grammar? No, that's stupid.

Nah, I figure that since I am no special superunique snowflake, then I have nothing to lose be being as social as I desire. Bring on the contamination from the masses, their similarieties and differences, I may just learn something.

It's good to know that you take the time to find out. Please accept the heartfelt gratitude from countless legions of folks you haven't met yet

Thanks for the sarcasm. I think you know what I was saying though, so much is relative so if you view everyone as idiots they'll seem that way to you. Why live life so negatively? I would just rather find the good of people and society rather than constantly complain about it. Obviously I can't meet everyone, but I still feel like everyone I've met has benefited me in some way. Even if its as simple as not wanting to turn out like them, or just a new view on an issue.

here is the best way to solve your problem - realise that every person on the planet is seeking the same thing - happiness. Everyone looks for it in different ways - family, drugs, power, money, enlightenment etc. Best to realise your inherent common ground with every other human on the planet, than the little things that make you different, or rather, make you think you are different. Acceptance of others, and their faults, is a good way to gain some peace of mind, and make yourself a happier person.

We are all far more alike than alot of us care to realise.

I'unno. I don't know about everyone else but I've never been super optimistic about society or life in general. Personally I don't think it's normal to be upbeat and happy all the time. Just means your jamming all of your fears and negativity deep, deep inside where it'll fester into homicidal rage or somethin'. My two cents.

I think its bad for you if you are negative all the time. I'm pretty upbeat, but also loopy, but it doesn't really come across on the internet.

On topic - Ya society is pretty dumb, but I could care less. Just live your life, the more you despise it, the more control it has over you really. It's absolutely pointless to hate on people for how dumb they are or how they live their lives, when it has no actual effect on your life.
