No problem, Layman

There is one thing I do not udnerstand: How do you know so much about the game, when you label it as "unplayable" and put it in the list of games that you cannot play? You must have already put a decent amount of hours into Fallout New Vegas, since you have already been in New Vegas??
Another thing is that I believe you are overestimating the amount of people who are experiencing problems compared to people who are playing the game just fine. Unless you have some statistics of the percent of all sold games that are in the hands of PC players, who are experiencing serious problems, I could just as well claim that most people play this game fine, and it is only a very small minority of people who are experiencing problems.
I think there is something here you need to understand. There exists billions of different configurations out there that all have different ways of interacting with the game. That is why I say it is unrealistic to think that they will test each and every configuration. And if you think about it, this problem grows each and every day (ie. the number of different unique configurations grows).
I really like the "buggiest game this year/decade/ever" label. I think I have read that label to be put on each and every major game I have followed ever since the release of the first Splinter Cell game.
In this day and age, you should expect that each game released for PC needs some kind of tweaking from your side. That is just how the life is for us PC-gamers. If you don't like this, you might want to start playing Wii games - they are always flawless and without any bugs.
With regards to the game engine, I see no problem in them using it for new games also. I really do not care if the game engine is old or new, as long as the game (and the gameplay) is fun and as I said, I believe that most players do not experience problems with the Gamebryo engine. You say I can verify for myself that Bethesda/Obsidian know of all the problems with the engine - can you please point me in a direction where I can verify that?
Do you honestly believe that by developing a completely new and very advanced platform, that has never been out in "real life" testing would mean less bugs/problems??
But again - if you really want to play the game, I urge you to post your DXdiag in the support forum, and there might be someone there that can help you.
O. K Acolyte, I certainly didn't mean to offend you or hurt your feelings, you can believe what you want. I am just trying to bring forth info on the common issues of gamebryo in all of it's games, and the admitted fact (by them) that is was rushed.
To let you know I have logged 42 hours from 12 midnight on the 19th through Steam, the moment it became active. So yes I've played and struggled and been frustrated with it. I have told you the truth.
And you think I'm overestimating, ok. Or you can look yourself, if you really want I can do it for you. But I have the feeling your mind is made up, sounding a little butt hurt.
The buggiest game title comes from reviews not me, and I don't see the other games labled that, unless it's cities xl with super mem. leaks. If you have read that as you say with every other game I have missed it.
As far as wii goes, get real, xbox and playstation are totally controlled platforms and they are having huge issues issues. Read before you explode and make a mess. I just point out that if you look and actually go over the history of this engine and it's games it is IMPOSSIBLE to miss. Or you can kill the bearer of bad news just because YOU don't like it
It's easy just to right off everybody else, like the guys commenting below this, and think we're all nuts, OK. with me.
I wouldn't care about it's age either if it wasn't so problematic, It's been pushed to far, I mentioned reading tech reports from tekkies or pro's that evaluate these engines professionally and work on them. They talk about all the technical pro's and cons. It's their job.
Now if you really want me to get some for you I will do it.
And gamebryo is not a completely new and advanced platform, you must be referring to New Vegas coding on gamebryo, and if you listen to interviews from the head designer of fallout 3 and others they talk about how easy it is to make quest and all that stuff on gamebryo, don't make it sound like going to the moon! Thats why they like it, it's fast and easy = saves a lot of money. I am not here to argue with you or anyone. People can believe what they WANT and usually do, OR they can be objective and evaluate this themselves.
I'm sorry but you sound hurt and like your just taking up for a team because you like it. I like it too, just wish it would work better, a lot better.
For goodness sake don't you go around the internet and read this stuff, or have you convinced yourself that everyone that actually does have problems are jerks with nothing better to do. All these people in Steam, and on the internet everywhere, and in gaming mags and sites, are just out to get Bethesda?
Now thats a conspiracy for sure.. Sorry Acolyte you sound like an apologist for your fave , blame everyone else, ok.
Have a heart, I am on the side of the people getting the short end, and trying to inform people if they don't already know, and for Bethesda to do better, for all of us.
SORRY
