I like Falkreath, Windehlm and Solitude.

Falkreath is real woodsy, and I dig that.
Windhelm has all those alleyways, and it's districts actually look different from one another.
Solitude's landscape itself is unique, plus it has a real nice renaissance look.

Balmora
Well, if we go so far, I'd say the Imperial city, it was nice and big.
In Skyrim? Markarth has that awesome dwemer feel to it.

Whiterun is one of the few cities that actually feel "viking-ish". The architecture fits so well in the game, and the Jarl is the only one who is actually concerned with the crisis of Skyrim. So Whiterun would be my favorite city of Skyrim.

Now, if we are talking about all of the TES games, I would say Sadrith-Mora.

Im a fan of Skingrad. Nice and big, but in once cell.
For Skyrim, i'd have to say either Whiterun or Markarth. But there nowhere near big enough (but yes i know thats because they're settlements)

A tie between Solitude and Whiterun.

Solitude becasue I am a Legate and it's where I live. My general, comrades, and Jarl are here.

Whiterun becasue I am Harbinger and my Companions are here and it was the first city I visited and therefore home to some of my oldest friends. And, of course, Balgruuf, the only Jarl that really knows what's best for Skyrim, and I couldn't of finished my quest as Dragonborn without him.

I liked Skingrad too, and not only because it has the best house. I used to spend hours decorating :) In Skyrim i have to say Whiterun. Playing whitout fast-travel, it is conveniently located in the middle of the map.

Oblivion- Anvil because of the lovely manor you can buy for dirt cheap. I love the secret Necromancer chamber! Plus, I just like being near the ocean.

Skyrim- I like Solitude, I like saying I'm rich and have a house near the Blue Palace, but it's just too cheery for my taste. So I would say Markarth for it's Dwemer architecture and Falkreath for it's ominous vibe.

Whiterun, it's nice and open-spaced and apart from a few thunderstorms the weatger usually is good. Dragonsreach is awesome, the view from up there is to die for.

Windhelm, for the medieval architecture and city plan, with narrow alleys that open up into market square. The weather's pretty bad, though. I like winter and snow, but not all the time.

Oblivion: Skingrad, that town had the best inn, best house, and freaking vineyards. On those good Oblivion days my snobbish assassin lived life in style there, Imperial City is overrated.

Skyrim: Markarth definetly, it's architecture, player home and background is awesome, plus I love, LOVE the Reach. However, without spoiling anything, I can't say I like the townspeople very much and it's a con for my walk-everywhere character to reach his house.

Riften's my favourite. Nice house, easy access to wilderness. (Place to hide when I'm stage 4 vampire. >.>)

Also the shops are all in a big circle. I just like it!

Whiterun because it has big dogs. And where there is big dogs there is precious scent marks that you can refine, and drink. Or add to your food! Or you can grab Vilkas, and squeez him around the house to make his spray your house for that lovely urine-like smell that makes every home complete.

Falkreath is amazing, for scenery anyways. I've been a born and raised Skingradian though.

Hard to decide--I like Riften's two levels, the architecture of Markarth, Whiterun and Windhelm, the location of Solitude. In past games, I think I like Balmora and Bravil the best.
