cool spell suggestions

beth should add new spells such as ravage stamina and magicka that siphons enemies stamina and magicka and brings it to you and also causes slight health damage. you know like the weopen enchantments. what do you guys think of my idea and what new spells would you like to see?

Uhmm well, I think if you were on PC you could find or mod a spell like that.

The spell effects are pretty over the top far as scale goes, like storm call and Alduins spell I forget the name that you also can get if your on PC.

So if Bethesda wanted to add some cool spells, I'd say Arcane destruction, you have the elemental destruction fire ice & shock. We need Arcane, spells very similar to the Wizard in D3 like arcane orbs etc.

I dunno it's tough, there is a lot of cool spells & abilities in Skyrim. Some might take some of it for granted, some of the shouts in the game are too awesome to me still.

I would actually like the ability to convert spells into Dragon Shouts. That would go a long way in helping warrior characters use magic in general. That or being able to embed spells into weapons or items akin to the Dawn Guard Rune Hammer. I'm not talking just simple enchanting per se; example take a Healing Hands Spell book and a Ebony Bow to say a specialized forge and combine them. How many times have we accidently shot our companions? Well now when you shoot them they're A-OK. You get the picture.

So more along the lines you were hoping for I would say a Spell that allows you to summon armor like the Summon Bow and Summon Sword. Basically a energy armor.

I am rather content with the level of spells we have here. If I would ask for any spells to be added, it would be something along the lines of summoned armor, as mentioned by Dezarath, or perhaps an expansion to Necromancy (such as corpse exploding or sacrificing of minions, or and this would take a lot of work but the ability to create your own constructs).

However, Skyrim has a beautiful variety of spells most of which have their own special unique purpose. When I played the game first on my Necromancer, I felt as though the game was made for spell casters. Then as I played as stealth and melee, I realized, the game was made for all paths you could choose.

I would like to see spells that don't fire in a straight line. Spells that could be lobbed like a grenade over walls or on top of towers and cause splash damage. I think this would help breath a little life back into the destruction school.

These were all present in previous TES games and it would be amazing if they made a comeback. As far as new spells, I'd like to see a spell effect similar to unrelenting force.

Levitation Spell that allows you to levitate above the ground, like Vampire Lords and Dragon Priests do. While the spell's effect is on, it could increase the power of all other spells and you can only use magic in this way and you'll be able to move very fast... You know, kinda like what they did with Vampire Lords? Ofc, the spell should require a very high Alteration Level.

Thank you. I just want Weakness spells and Open Lock spells back, at the very LEAST. The fact that Alchemy has more magical effects than magic itself is a joke, too.

I wanted to play a true Illusion mage. Not a sneaky mage per say. I cannot even halfway play a druid until I get the Dragon shout. Or I guess Calm

I desperatly pray that Beth will add these back in with addition to some Druidy spells 8(

Actually... some real telekenesis spells would be cool. Think a Biotic from Mass Effect on human rag dolls 8).

And spell scaling count?

I think the Bosmers have a Command Creature Power and there is a Command Humanoid Power for Nightingales so the effects are there...Just need to turn them into spells.

I like this idea. I was think something a long those lines only having a "blastwave" spell where you push all your enemies away from you. Like an aoe fus ro dah spell.

Flame orb, frost orb or lightning orb. Sends forth an orb from the caster that travels in straight line that damages enemies based on the orb used, the orb is destroyed once it hits a wall.

Ice stalagtites the caster can cast this frost spell on ceilings which then after a couple seconds, they fall causing damage to anyone under them.

Fire Barrage this is a longer casting spell, about 2 seconds. This sends forth many small fireballs that go in a 130 degree cone in front of the caster.

Lightning Strike longer casting spell about 2 seconds, that sends down a streak of lightning on the target the player has his crossair over, after strike the target is stunned for 3 seconds.

Water walk, this frost spell causes your feet to become frozen. This allows you to create ice on water, allowing you to walk on it.

Fiery Soul, you cast this spell on a target if this target dies within 10 seconds, the target then explodes in a gory mess causeing fire damage in an large aoe effect, hurting other enemies.

Static Charge, cast this spell on a target, then the target causes lightning damage to other enemies near him.

This is just adding on to schools already in the game, more type of spells would be awesome. Like dark magic that doesn't cause large amount of damage, but these spells heal the caster. Maybe like damage over time spells that heal you. Regular spells like drain life, mana or stamina spells in a beam of magic, or add to blood magic spells the player can use. Going Dragon Age style giving you extremly powerful blood spells that when cast hurt you as well.

Sorry if spelling or sentence structure isn't the best, it's late lol.

I for one loved the idea on expanding on necromancy..but I would also be just as content on them fixing the little issue where everything u have ever rezzed spawns in an all out war every so often when you fast travel.

  • Force Thrust ( launches enemies in front of you)
  • Force Wave ( launches enemies all around)
  • Possess (possessing ability varies with conjuration lvl.) (command an NPC for 120 seconds, until death or your actual character's detection)
  • plasma bolt (like ice spike except fiery)
I've noticed that all destruction spells don't decapitate, so I'd like to see more powerful "bolt spells" be able to do such.

and yeah, I know that it's basically vampiric grip for the force push but you can only do that when vampire lord

In addition to my earlier post, I'd thought melee spells would be pretty cool.
instead of bound weapons and such, I'm thinking a destruction spell category where you could make your hands on fire then
normal attack for a melee punch w/ fire damage and then power attack for spells like firebolt, fireball and so on.

Most "suggestions" in this thread either already exist, were in Oblivion or they are ripped from World of Warcraft.

And I know Bethesda is starting to [censored] all over the lore but lets not take it further with Destruction spells that make you float.

They should bring back EVERY spell that was in Oblivion. And make loads of variations to the spells, like in Oblivion.
