I'm pretty sure you'll be able to pick them up from the corpses of fallen Dawnguard.

In a demo playthrough I read, the guy mentioned he was given a vampiric character to play as, but then later mentioned using the crossbow and wearing Dawnguard armour before he decided to use his transform ability, so I suppose that means Vampire Lords can get their hands on all the same weapons and armour as the Dawnguard. It makes sense though, seeing as all armour and weapons are lootable from corpses.


I'm sure I saw it mentioned somewhere that the Dawnguard hunters are big on smithing, and that joining them gives you a lot of variety with crafting different weapons and armour. Plus, Todd Howard said that there would be dragon bone weapons in the game!

As interesting as Cross Bows sound I would be very excited by more exotic weapon variety. Whips, Spears and even fistloads to name a few.

Great question. I'd love a separate tree with unique perks, but I have to guess they would use the bow perks.
