Anyway I'm pretty blown away from the early arrival of the first DLC, I remember the devs a very few months ago didn't have ideas on what it would be about, then with the unlucky death of their concept artist, I just say kudos for their fast recovery, both on the mourning and on the creation of the DLC.
I noticed that ranged horseback needed a bit of editing, it seems as if the legs are just stuck on the horse and the torso can spin 180 degrees? also i applied for it, but only those applying from the u.s could get in :/

Woah i didnt know about the death of the concept artist, sorry for their loss and props to them to get this dlc up and running so soon

edit:Spelling error
I too was unaware of this. Man, I've been away from the forums for too long.

Well awesome then! Not awesome about the spoilers for the PC PS3 folks though. I'm on 360, but I still don't like the whole timed exclusivity thing. We should all be able to play with our crossbows together!

Yeah I've a friend who is on PS3 says they probably won't get the 1.6 update until we 360ers get Dawnguard.

Oh yeah they haven't got 1.6 yet. I'm still hoping for the inclusion of the Snow Elf Prince and spears, spears + crossbows = [censored]

I watched the G4 vid with Morgan Webb interviewing Todd at E3, and she actually asked him about SEP. He just got a smirky look on his face and said "It's a big DLC."

I saw that one, i made a thread on it and we came to the speclation that there is a very possible chance of SEP being in it, either as a shade or still alive as a vampire

edit: i also want to find out what else is in this 'big dlc'

I'm not to sure, because on one of the interviews he said ''here were getting crossbow training...'' maybe it's like fallout power armor training? Or maybe that means when you're with harkon they don't even appear available to you, plus Todd Said one of the benefits to the dawnguard is the crossbows, so if it's a benefit then it would not be fair if the vampires got it.

I just wonder if it is just going to appear in the dwarven section of smithing or if we have to find a dwemer schematic or something.
I really don't think crossbows will be craft able. At E3 both tod Howard and Matt Carofano mentioned smith able dragon weapons and crossbow bolts but not crossbows and they always use crossbows as a dawn guard hero incentive (which is great if you are an archer... Which I'm not) so I'd say there will be restrictions on what vamps get.

Well, if he is in and he is "the" Snow Elf Prince he would pretty much have to be a shade, unless the skeleton in Bloodmoon was not really his. But it may be possible that there is a "new" Snow Elf Prince, in which case he would probably be a Falmer who might actually speak with you. I'm hoping though that there is a group of uncorrupted Falmer living somewhere in Skyrim who are still civil, though understandably slow to trust outsiders.

I agree with all this :D And not all the snow elves would have been used as slaves for the dwemer, at least some must have escaped?

Now whether or not this means that they will be smithable or just like a segment in the Dawnguard faction line where you "build" the crossbow is beyond my speculation.

I think you should be able to smith it, cause what if you somehow lose it? people would get p[censored] off if they lost it and couldnt get it again through the whole game

Yes, I hope so. Why go through the trouble of saying you can "build" it if that doesn't mean smithing it? And I think my followers would greatly appreciate a nice crossbow!
