Maybe they only carry the steel crossbow, and you can only get the dwarven one in the dawnguard?

Play a game where you can loot everything off your fallen foe...
Still concerned whether or not the Dawnguard will drop crossbows.

I doubt they'd add a new weapon exclusive to not being a vamp lord when the main focus of the DLC is on vamp lords. Just my thoughts

Isn't there a crossbow on the pc's back in the gameplay footage before he transforms into a VL?

In the E3 gameplay, or the trailer, I forget, someone with a crossbow turned into a vampire lord, so yeah, Crossbows are not guild exclusive. Although, I hope dawnguard gives you a really powerful bow at the end of their faction line that vamps cannot get.

Yup, good ol' Morrowind. And I saw a vid where a guy (not sure if it was the one with Todd or not, its on the G4 site) said that we would be able to smith a dwarven crossbow.

Yeah, I guess they chose the dwemer because of their great skill at macking mechanical stuff, so the crossbow was pretty appropriate.

Exactly. I can just see my assassin types making great "art" with these weapons :D

I just wonder if it is just going to appear in the dwarven section of smithing or if we have to find a dwemer schematic or something.

I thought about applying but I started reading the terms and didn't think I could devote enough time to it. Oh well, Its only a couple more weeks. :edit: I hope they optimize ranged horseback archery in the meantime, I'm getting better at it but I think it is still a little off.

Anyway I'm pretty blown away from the early arrival of the first DLC, I remember the devs a very few months ago didn't have ideas on what it would be about, then with the unlucky death of their concept artist, I just say kudos for their fast recovery, both on the mourning and on the creation of the DLC.

I noticed that ranged horseback needed a bit of editing, it seems as if the legs are just stuck on the horse and the torso can spin 180 degrees? also i applied for it, but only those applying from the u.s could get in :/

Woah i didnt know about the death of the concept artist, sorry for their loss and props to them to get this dlc up and running so soon
