But I overclocked the first day I built the system just to see where it will go (5.2ghz - 4.8ghz stable) and I ended up keeping the clock with never a problem. Now with this problem with the CK I'm thinking I may need to back it down to stock in order to rule that out as an issue.

One other thing that might be the issue is the SSD, windows is installed on a 128 GB Crucial RealSSD C300 card. I've read somewhere a while back that a failing SSD can cause these strange reboots. Which may be the case because the reboots are now causing damage to the esp file.

Good point about 3DSMax. Maybe I'll look around to see if they have a trial version, or maybe something close to that.
