Want a chance to play Dawnguard early? Following the success of our PC beta updates, we're excited to announce our Dawnguard Beta for Xbox 360.

Visit http://beta.elderscrolls.com/ to apply. The process should only take a couple minutes, but make sure to fill out all the information accurately. Applicants need a http://www.gamesas.com/ and you'll want to make sure your forum email address is updated.

We will be selecting applicants in about a week. Players accepted into the beta will receive an Xbox LIVE code to redeem Dawnguard. The beta is the full version (complete with Xbox LIVE achievements) and those participating will not have to purchase the content.

Thanks again for your continued support of Skyrim!

NOTE: If you accidentally signed up for the beta before joining the forum, you may want to sign up for the Beta again using the same email address, which will delete your previous entry and replace it with the new one.

Posting the question twice will make it more urgent!

... ah-hem. We don't know, is the short answer, I'm afraid.

This feels completely silly on my part, though I swear I had gotten a confirmation email of my sign-up for the beta. However, when checking my email box, I see nothing. Was there a confirmation, or is it the arrow to my knee that's messing with me?

May have been a nice dream, I don't think the emails are out.

Not a congratulatory email, just one saying I had signed-up. Y'know, acknowledging that I had registered for the 'drawing' as it were.

They said after E3 I believe, and I'm not even sure if E3 is still going on.

It would be nice if Bethesda gave us an answer today but unlikely.

Chances are, the beta emails will happen tomorrow (the beginning of next week) or Tuesday (two weeks from the 26th, when Dawnguard gets released)

Interesting, as I haven't got an e-mail saying that.

It was merely a question, I believe I had gotten mixed up as it was a long night previous to my sign-up. So it's a bit foggy, lol.

i signed up and i hope that they pick loyale fans who have been with the series for more than skyrim over new skyrim players. i hope they send out an email saying if you did not win too so people will stop asking if it has been drawn yet.

I joined the forum literally seconds before signing up for the beta, do you think this will have any effect on getting selected?

I don't think it makes a difference. To be on the safe side, however, you can always sign up for the beta again and it will just cancel out your previous entry.

Nope, this is definitely a first.

And come to think of it, I'm not familiar with any Xbox open beta programs by any other publishers, either.

Personally I don't think it will have an effect at all as long as you have an account when they choose testers, but that's just me.
