Dawnguard Beta #16

Post » Sun Jun 17, 2012 2:10 am

But on the hypothetical that you didn't have 400+ posts and were new to this forum, you'd be stating that it's bull. The main reason Bethesda used the more in-depth beta sign-up was probably to get a diverse group of testers, not just people that have powerfapped their way to level 230 with over 1,000,000,000 hours of game play.

No I wouldn't, If I get in that's great... if I don't that's great to, my money is ready. If I was new, that would still be how I look at it. I just want DLC that is not buggy, and the best way to do that is by getting people are are more likley to beta test, which means old contributing members. This isn't a free ride, it's to find the bugs.

they want people with diverse characters that play the game A LOT, not people that will play the game 5 hours a week.

Do you just want "active" forum members to get picked just so that you have more chance of getting chosen?

If Beth had just put one advert in the top of this thread then they would've made enough money to give EVERYBODY the beta...

Wikis def are better if your looking for info. I just use the forum to find out what's new or game breaking. It is fun to participate in crap like this though

Can I just say that it is mark to how low a percentage of this forum hate skyrim and moan all the time when a x360 exclusive beta discussion gets 200 posts in 20 mins, ie 1 every 3 seconds.

Technically the DLC isnt free if you consider that the people who get it are supposed to be beta testing it for them.

Bethesda certainly anticipated that the application process would result in new members joining the forum. I don't believe they are going to discriminate. If your application meets the criteria that they're looking for, you're probably going to get selected regardless of how long you've been on the forum or how many posts you have.

If they would have given the beta to everyone that signed up, but made us pay for it, I wouldn't have been aginst it.

And I'm not saying this isn't true for some people, but we all know over 90% of those new 20,000 accounts... will not actually beta test. They seen the words free DLC, and they just signed up for that. New people should get priority in the next beta if they spend time here and contribute.

I completely agree with this statement (even though I'm new to the forums :P). I personally think that regular members should get priority because they would benefit the title "Beta Tester", not "OMG FREE DLC"! and yeah... Good luck guys! :D
