Dawnguard Beta - Thread #12

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 5:10 am

Hi. I'm new to the forum obviously for the Dawnguard beta. But I was wondering do you guys think the Vampire Lord perk tree is going to work the same as all the other perk trees because if so I should probably make a new character because I'm almost at max level.
Chances are you level up the actual form, as in if you kill enough people/creatures in the form it levels up the form and not your character.

*I always forget to refresh in forums. ):

I see so many people excited to be a part of this beta, even ones that just signed up to the forums, because of the beta. I just hope everyone knows that not everyone will get into the beta. There is a limit that they need. I mean, I hope I get in, but I know there's a small chance (been in quite a few betas, some with NDA some without).

I know the mods have nothing to do with the beta

I have been here a while and have seen many of Rohughs posts. Just lettin him know I appreciate his work. Things are about to get really difficult for the mods once the beta comes out.
Truth in these words.

Off I go to revise, until they send out codes (hopefully soon), I will be watching this thread though, it's mildly entertaining

Mildly?

I happen to know sheogorath, and if things get too quiet around here I will introduce him to the concept of "combustable lemons"

How are we going to know when they release the beta if the people who get it aren't allowed to talk about it?

I've been, like everyone else here (I assume), have been checking my email account like a fiend. I barely use the damn thing, but I must have checked it 3 times just in the process of reading this most recent thread. I can't wait for the stress to be over.

I really wish Bethesda, and other game companies, would send out Beta denial e-mails, just so I wouldn't have to wonder. "Bethesda is truly sorry that it must deny you any entitlement to the Dawnguard beta software" and Ron Howard's fake signature is on there or something. I mean, it would just be generic mass-produced garbage, but I atleast I would be able to stop worrying about "Well, what if they bring people in in waves? What if they're doing a super-secret beta invite spur on thursday at 4:57am?!!!"

By the way I'd actually love to play as both factions, both seem to have their own significant new characters like one I saw in the gameplay trailer Lord Harkon

Hopefully Bethesda's official twitter will say when they're being sent out.

Thankfully I have two characters, one's a werewolf and the other a vampire.

Since this dlc seems to be tighter focused than vanilla skyrim, maybe we can look forward to some deeper character developement. Look what they did with our pal sheogorath :)
