Care to elaborate? I thought once they received their beta and did their testing they would receive the full DLC for free. If that is true picking 2000 candidates for the beta is like giving out $40,000.

Well they spend around $40,000 per patch just patching the console... so $40,000 isn't very much to them.

40 grand is nothing compared to the overall revenues to be had.

It won't cost them $20 per person to make it because then there would be NO PROFIT. It'll likely cost them $5 per download, including all previous costs, to make a $15 profit per download. So they're not handing out $40,000 if there are 2,000 testers.

Secondly, it means they don't employ an official testing team which would be more expensive, so they still make a killing. They wouldn't do it if there wasn't some sort of incentive other than "being nice".

I put forth one discussion, how about another!

What do people think the dragon diving into the water has to do with it? I know they've spoken about another dragon but I wonder what his role with the vampires or dawnguard is!

Plus, I wonder what sort of weapons and armor can be smithed if you join the dawnguard.

PS, might have to make a Wesley Snipes char for another playthrough. ;)

It's already been said that the beta IS THE FULL DLC. We just get it early so Bethesda can get to work on fixing any bugs they find early, before the whole world gets teh add-on
Ah it appears I was wrong. It is the full thing and you don't have to pay for it, if you get accepted into the beta.
20$ a person can add up if they pick alot of people. Your right, they still need to make lots of money off this because it is still a dlc
I know I was just making a point and correcting povuholo (sorry if that comes out as rude I dont mean it to be). So in my opinion they are just going to pick 500 people IF THAT. Once picked the layman will decrease I will be a bit happier. All these off topic posts are really beginning to anger me. Goodluck to everyone. Getting into the beta would be a nice graduation present. lol.

I find it hilarious at all the new people to the forum whose only motive is to try to get into the Beta, fail, rage at Beth, then leave the forum to never come back.

Mark my words it will happen.
