Dawnguard Beta Thread 32

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 7:36 am

Are you guys deadly sure its US only? I don't really see the advantage to that? Maybe its to be on the safe side and make sure the NDA doesn't clash with other countries laws...

However i live in the UK and if thats the case well... damn.

We'll just have to lie from now on it seems.

Yeah; they've probably decided that its not worth being on the forums, and if the only reason they joined was to apply for the beta, then good riddance...

I'm glad they're gone.. it's just that most of the new ones didn't deserve a code in the first place. I'm sure there may be a few forumers who have been here a bit that won't help with the bug testing.. but I know most will. They should have given it to all members with let's say 50+ posts and then given it to those with less.

I saw one of the beta testers tried to link to the secret beta forum in one of these threads... This lack of professionalism is what you'll get with such an application process. The next one, if there is a next one, needs to be handled better.

i'm a layman but i registered at the forums in 2010. about 1 and a half years ago maybe longer idk. i just never visited the forums and i found out that i had registered when i got an email from beth when the forums were hacked. i already forgot about it. anyway it would be unfair that it's US only. US get's everything. exclusive pre-order bonuses. early releases etc. europe always get's nothing. same goes with the oblivion anniversary. they got a steelcase while we only got a normal case. i hope beth knows that ppl in europe can help too with things. because all the major game companies are in the US they shouldn't only think about ppl in the US but also outside of it. anyway i'll surely buy the dlc doesn't mather what happens ;D

I haven't seen a tweet for either Bethesda or Pete saying invites are 100% sent out, they said they were sending the remaining ones soon. Also, I believe Pete Hines also said country is irrelevant so us polar bear riders and you tea drinkers should be equally as eligible as them Yanks.

They wouldn't give it to anyone from Scotland though. We'd just steal the beta and swap it for a pair of old crutches and a soiled mattress.

The codes could be region locked, if that's the case you could lie but the code would not work. I thought that this could be the case when I applied but I figured if I got in and the code didn't work I would have ruined someone elses chance :)

I don't know where courier blues is from, but in the UK most people have left school at 18. They're either at sixthform or college at 18 or at uni if they're older than 18, but its not usually referred to as "school".

well, are you gonna stay?

Yeah, definitely; I love using the forums

They won't though, and you are a new user yourself.
Apparantly they're going to do this for each DLC now.

That is true... but I'm definitely staying

People are obviously going to give me hate for being new, but if I do get the beta, I'm going to help, I don't see the point in not giving feedback, it helps everybody even yourself.

Even if I don't get the beta code (which I probably won't), I'll probably check the topics out regularly. It's a good forum! :)
