Dawnguard cant wait

Post » Sun Jun 17, 2012 7:03 am

I'm hoping that there aren't to many bugs in the Dawnguard beta so that it can be released in 13 days for Xbox users.

Well if most of the beta codes got sent out to little kids. You better call an exterminator you're going to need one.

Majority of them are either kids who won't report bugs and instead gloat on the forums or some of the new people who have like only been on forums for like 5 minutes and now they have the beta wont ever come back here. So I think it will be buggier than Oblivion.

I think the beta people will hopefully think about us and report all the bugs. We just have to wait and see.

Statistically, there are more younger kids on consoles than on PCs. The simple fact is they can't afford to buy a decent gaming computer so they end up with a console. Not bashing consoles, just stating what's true.

That said, I'm really hoping that issue won't affect the beta testing productiveness. Do want a relatively bug-free release.

I hope Bethesda is able to keep track of those people. Like when they signed up to get a beta code. Bethesda is able to find out what their gamertag is by using the code they downloaded. Also they could find out what their IP address is and match it up to their account here. If they haven't posted anything about the beta like bugs. Bethesda would somehow prevent them from playing Dawnguard.

Plus knowing Bethesda track record with bugs I highly doubt they'll fix all the issues with Dawnguard. Plus they've not tested/testing for computers/laptop, maybe seperate bugs will turn up for those. I'm really not hopefully for a playable DLC straight away. I'm going to wait a month or so before getting it.

This is how I see it:

There will be so many bugs it'll break everyones Xbox, they'll fix it and then release it on PS3 and PC only to find there so many different bugs that need fixing. And judging how many months it took to fix the game, I reckon Dawnguard will be playable by mid October. Then once they release the final patch it will mess up the main game, like the water bug.

I'm going to wait a month to before I download it to.With Bethesdas bug history you know it's going to be buggy from the start. I just hope they get rid of major bugs before it gets released. I don't want another bug like that Windhelm murder quest one.

I've seen too many topics that gloat over getting the beta, but I see responsible people mention they got the beta, and some faith in humanity is restored.

They'll probably get all of the debilitating bugs that result in the quests coming to a screeching halt or issues w/ crashing but leave the smaller bugs for another patch. No offense to Bethesda or anything but they really should have picked the beta testers to those who have been on the forums longer than 5 minutes so they could possibly avoid a majority of the free loaders.

Like 30% of the winners I know about haven't even been on the forums since the day they won their code so its pretty easy to tell if they aren't finding bugs.

I agree with that. I know that really wouldn't be fair to everybody else. But since they only gave out codes to only 1% of the people that signed up. They should have only picked the people on this forum that have been active for about longer than a year. To me given out codes to people that only singed up to get a code. Is a very bad move. That was the only reason why I signed up here, but I find these forums interesting.

I find it hard to believe they gave 1% of codes away, I mean if they said no international wouldn't it be like over 2%?

Or they could be like me and create another account so the actual beta account wont be harrased. But the list is being made and should be fixed intime for release.

I hope you're right. I wanted to help Beta test partly because I'm VERY impatient and well... I like bug testing as long as it doesn't break my xbox.

I would have thought that Beth wouldn't give the codes to the new people that just joined... I mean, maybe a couple to have a varied group of testers, but why not take post count or join date into account first?

I play on the Ps3 so I hope all your Xbox's implode at the loading screen, but at least it would be to people who deserve it..

How about personal experience?

Four years of dealing with little kiddies on Halo, Cod and Gears of war. The vast majority are pre-teens swearing because their parents don't care. It's pathetic.

Ps not to bash those that joined in June seeings as I only joined a week prior but I don't think people that just joined should have been let in the beta, for a couple reasons.

1. They joined because they saw 'free'

2. The accounts will most likely go inactive

3. And (not sure) the ability to make multipule accounts and sign up.

It would be nice. Not saying I deserve it considering I joined before the Beta was announced, but not that much before.. but I just feel we need more of a bug finding team than what they made.

Well it seems like only 2 people I know who have the beta have been here for over a year and if they wanted a varied group then by letting international players have a chance would be varied enough.
