A question for those of you who have played the beta; I'm really not into vampires, I have no interest in them at all (not just Skyrim but any other game, any film, any book etc). So my question is, given that I don't like vampires is there enough non vampire stuff in Dawnguard to interest me?
well the Dawnguard are not vampires, you can seemingly get their Stronghold as your base, and get weapons from them. Maybe some other things, but the DLC has two sides, not just 1 side.
But I'm glad this DLC is also about vampires, not just hunting them, but also the freedom to join them and help them win, as well as benefit from their awesome castle and abilities.

That's something that no other videogame and most stories don't offer in their experiences. They might to some degree but still nothing like what Dawnguard DLC is offering for vampires.
And besides the strongholds there's new stuff like that oblivion location and new enemies, and stuff.

I personally don't like vampires in the sense I don't like any vampire movies, I like Castlevania, but that's just pretty much from the hunter side. Alucard doesn't count because 1. they are half vampire 2. they don't do vampire things besides bat/wolf/mist abilities that are brief. 3. they can easily be mistaken for a knight that like uses swords (like generic warriors in action adventure).
Also things like Castlevania lack the freedom, customization and openness on TES.
So many things about TES and Skyrim can give vampires a more immersive and amazing experiences.
Plus Dawnguard DLC looks to really be the first vampire experience that's quite revolutionary with the freedom and openness and story centric nature to it.
Yes in Oblivion you had vampires but those stories are not even at the level of Dawnguard DLC. and were not as rewarding as Dawnguard DLC appears to offer.
So this really is amazing from a vampires standpoint. You may see them a lot in movies and some videogames but those are no where near the experience like this can bring.
