Its confirmed that Dragonbone weapons are going to be in dawnguard
Nice  i hope we can make arrows too..... That way woodcutting would be more useful and feathers from Hawks could be used for more than just Alchemy.

Agreed, especially in Conjuration... WTB perm Thrall spell for creatures and more Bound weapons. I want to have a Spriggan follow me around and be able to use a Bound Mace

I hope they add the new weapons / armours to the leveled lists of the base game.
( obviously appropriate ones, no Dawnguard Faction Armour on bandits  )

Yea I was wrong, I watched the trailer again and stoped it during the scene with the mounted combat animation, and on the axe was the symbol of the Dawnguard, during the sync kill with gargoyle we can see an unique sword and a shield with the dawnguard symbol. Maybe the Dawnguard uses mithril for their weapons.
You still might be right. They don't always stay within the lore boundaries, but if gargoyles are in mithril should be in too, and seeing as though mithril was in previous games I think it's likely it will be in.

I wonder if the Dragon Bone weapons will be better or worse than Daedric like how the armor is, after its been tempered to max level.

Also I would like to see some Aedric weapons or armor if they exist in the lore. Can anyone confirm this?

I wish they would bring this back... It did not make any sense that they left this out, especially since some Draugr are supposed to be encased in it... Dang lore breakers :(

From the video tho, the normal bow looked to be a Dragon Bone one... Let's hope they added Dragon Bone/Scale weapons to Blacksmithing.

Lore breakers? Stahlrim is unique to Solsthiem. It was created specifically to protect the bodies of the dead warriors who couldn't be returned to Skyrim, therefore it has no place in Skyrim itself.

I wonder if the Dragon Bone weapons will be better or worse than Daedric like how the armor is, after its been tempered to max level.

Lords Mail and the Chrysamere are the only artifacts I think can be traced to an Aedric Origin. Boots of the Apostle, Ice Blade of the Monarch, Ring of the Wind, and several other artifacts may also be considered, given their importance in the Imperial Cult quests of Morrowind, but their Pre-Morrowind lore doesn't necessarily link them to any of the Nine Divines.

Obviously the Crusader's Relics are all Aedric artifacts as well. I'm unsure of how these are entered into the game lore though. Acknowledgements in Skyrim exist, but I don't know if they were ever intended to be placed in the series again.

As for new Materials for Dawnguard, I wouldn't mind seeing Shadowweave (TES Mobile) and Mithril (Daggerfall, Oblivion).

Because gargoyles (as seen in the trailer) can only be harmed by mithril weapons

Is that based off IRL mythology or the trailer?

According to lore, mithril should be back as it is needed to kill gargoyles so you may be in luck. Plus some of the weapons and armour seen so far look like mithril.

One of the GI scans shows a mounted guy who looks like he is in mithril. I'd say there is a good chance it's in.

I think that's the Dawnguard armor. It could be made of Mithril.

Maybe it's a heavy variant as the mounted guy is in full plate and the other Dawnguard have a leather square patterned variant.

There weren't Mithril weapons in Oblivion for some reason. Mithril weapons have actually only been in Daggerfall. I think that's why I want to see them again so bad, we've never had detailed rendition of a Mithril Weapon... Unless you're counting "Fine Steel" from Oblivion. In which case I retract my argument and replace it with "Those were my favorite weapons in Oblivion".

I hope not. I'm a One handed sword with spell and light armor guy. And that armor looks badass.

Oh well, in a few days we should be able to find out a lot more about the conent. Look at the scans again though because you might be thinking I'm talking about a different armor.
