They do exist. They're extremely hard to come across though. So, the most commonly used method to acquire them, is through crafting.

Spoiler
But, there is a less known and generally not mentioned method: to take ebony armor/weapons and "transmute" them into daedric. This, is done with the aid of the Atronach Forge, in the College of Winterhold. Check the uesp.net for more details.

Hearts you can buy from a vendor.
Nothing Like being lvl 20ish In full daedric armor. I also LvLed smithng. And found it more of less runied the game for me. /sigh

I'm sorry to say it but, Daedric Armor means nothing by itself and should not be regarded as the ultimate goal

As a matter of fact, if you are as proficient as you should be at heavy armor by the time you are able to smith daedric armor you will be over the armor cap (research that on UESPwiki). I found might as well go with light Elven (guilded) armor, as I still am over the cap at that point, meaning it was pointless to smith daedric armor since you cannot sell it for full price either. However, my fav weapon is daedric swords (and daedric bows are #2), I usually kill with one blow.

Five characters, highest is level 45, the others down to level 33. Over 480 hours playtime since release, NEVER have found any daedric weapons or armor.

I had one of my characters who is a smith make some for her and Lydia, but that's the only items I've seen.
