deadric weapons I know they exist....

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 7:29 am

I've been playing this game for so long now and I don't believe I've found any deadric weapons, or armor for that matter. I know they're really rare but does anyone know of anywhere I can find a one handed weapon? Quest reward, a particular npc that I could kill for one, etc...

That's unfortunate. I found over a dozen Daedric items so far, never had to make a piece of Daedric armor or weapon since I have had the game. I even find Dragonplate items. What level are you?

Just random loot. I can't remember the exact levels they start appearing, It's something like 36 for unenchanted items and 38 for enchanted items, I know I'm off by a few levels though.

I have found maybe 5 or 6 bits and bobs, really really rare. Which is great compared to Oblivion, they were FAR to common in that game, I know there was a invasion going on but still.

I'm level 49, I've been looking at shops too and saw a bow but it was already enchanted, can't remember with what but it wasn't very appealing.

I really wish I'd start seeing it soon too, but I guess I can never be satisfied. I was complaining how in OB there was too much Daedric, and now I'm complaining on how there's too little. I suppose it's better this way though, makes it feel rarer.

I am glad the Daedric stuff is so rare for this very reason. Daedric armor and weapons were dime a dozen in Oblivion and it really cheapened it. I am in no hurry. If someone really wants it, they can always make it.

The shrine to Mehrunes Dagon has daedric weapons. The daedra will also drop some. The Mehrunes Razor quest from Silus Somethingorother in Dawnstar. The Black Star questline for Azura's star. The daedra in the star at the end, will drop some daedric weapons. Do those 2 quests.

There aren't many Dremora in this game. They are scripted. And I've only found those 2 quests that they appear in. All the other daedra are atronachs that don't use weapons.

That said, if you use Smithing you can work up to crafting Daedric weapons. Needs 90 skill, and Ebony ingots as well as Ebony armor crafting. The Daedric armor is the best looking heavy armor in the game, IMO.

I'm level 51 and have never found any daedric gear in loot. The merchants do sell a few pieces. I finally just made my own, found them to be too good and went back to my ebony gear.

According to UESP, you can′ t get Daedric Weapons before level 46 and Daedric Armor before level 48. Even then they are 20-times rarer then weapons and armors of other types.

I found 5 daedric weapons on my retired character before whilst dungeon exploring. Never found any daedric armour though, but it wasn't a big deal since my character was a light armour user.

My main character is lvl 62 and has finished the main quest and 2 guilds. He's only found 5 or 6 pieces of Daedric armor/weapons and 3 pieces of dragon armor.

Found Daedric armor, a bow, and a couple enchanted swords. Dragon plate stuff was rarer as I've only found a helmet.

That's why I try to level up Smithing on almost every character of mine. (that would actually need it)
My highest level character got only a War Axe as random loot in the Abandoned House in Markarth. (around level 60 I think)

That must be for finding the items. I was at 100 in smithing by level 20 or so and the only thing that held me back from making everything in the daedric item list was the fact that it takes daedric hearts. I've been using a Daedric war axe since around level 35 (now I'm at level 51).

Spoiler
I found my first deadric item (a deadric battle axe) at the end of the Red Eagle quest

I had found a Daedric Bow of Immobilization, with a chance to paralyse for 4s, somewhere around level 40. My first was a plain Daedric Bow together with daedric arrows in a cave, openly on the floor and next to a dead body. After that have I found dragonplate and dragonscale stuff and a plain Daedric Helmet in random loot. The Imperial Legion gave me a Daedric Sword of Flames for completing a quest somewhere close to level 60.

These are all chance based and it is merely luck to find or receive them.

I didn't rush to level up smithing. That is the role I am playing. I didn't do any of the iron dagger stuff or any of that. And my character wears steel plate armor more often than not, because as a blacksmith that just seems right.

If you let smithing ruin the game for you then that's your own fault. Just because you have the ability to wear the best armor and wield the best weapon doesn't mean you have to.
