But anyone know if the difficulty mechanic will be the exact same?
As in; only affects damage rates?
Breaks down like this in FO3 at lower levels (lv 1-10)
Normal - Too easy, I don't even use up resources. End up with infinite ammo, hundreds of caps and stims, etc
Hard - Occasionally challenging, need to be mindful of resources and tactics. Certain enemies are dangerous if they surprise you.
Very Hard - Slightly obnoxious because I'm always running out of ammo. Everything needs 5-10 headshots to die and it feels ridiculous.
However, I burn through supplies so fast, I need the extra HP from food and water, which makes exploration more satisfying, feels immersive.
I have to break out my combat knife when my last gun goes click, which makes for some satisfying kills.
Yaos and Giant Radscorpions are like big-game hunting. I rarely survive if they see me first.
I enjoy that too. Makes you tread lightly in the wastes.
Please feel free to discuss and hurl abuse at me :hubbahubba:
Also: Sorry if I missed a thread about this already.
