DLC Confirmed

i thought the pitt was the best story wise but point lookout i think was better because of land mass... i mean they should add the stuff to the game world..... like the world map so we dont have to go to the place to tele from there....

land mass ? PL was half water look at the map, since it was so big supposedly, why wasn't there any settlements? and there was only a few friendly people on the entire map. my idea of playing fallout isn't swimming around in the ocean or wandering around a swamp. i won't buy another dlc like that unless it has outstandsing loot, thats the only reason i go to point lookout is for workmans overalls and the backwater rifle, thats it.

Having settlements and lots of people goes completely against the point. You're meant to feel isolated and there's meant to be a creepy atmosphere -- how can you have that if there's towns and 'complexes'?

I know it's your opinion, but you can't really hate on it for those things.

I'll hope they bring in a bigger DLC like a 20 dollar DLC or an expansion like it was done with SI in Oblivion. But other than that the DLC sizes for FO3 were fine and I hope they don't bring in smaller ones.

Migration to Steam is a good thing too as GfWL was really bad.

:obliviongate: i would of rather paid 50 dollars for a large expansion instead of 5 small dlc's. point lookout could of been a lot better and bigger, instead of making it all swamp and ocean, it could of actually had some settlements and towns and more variation to the geograqphy, they could of turned that first waypoint when you get off the boat into a real settlement, there was a ferris wheel there and a bank and motel, well where the hell did everyone live? you don't have a built in ferris wheel and bank and lighthouse without some small towns at least, there needed to be some neighborhoods, roads, stores, a few gas stations, maybe a big wherehouse, small airport etc. they could of put way more in that dlc, it had two mansions, neither of em were really good, certainly not scary or atmospheric, there was a small sub, small lighthouse, trash heap, a couple small caves, a few tents, a couple shacks, motel, a few destroyed houses, a very small detention camp, well thats most of point lookout i just mentioned.

I just hope the DLC for NV are better than the FO3 ones. I just got all of them but Zeta, and I must say, I am dissapoint. Anchorage was way to short, Lookout was too short... BS was alright, and The Pitt was also very short, and did not add anything usefull to the game. At least Anchorage gave some cool armor and weapons, same with Lookout. So I hope they are better/longer DLC...

I think they should pull out something like The Shivering Isles was for oblivion.

Now that DLC is confirmed, maybe some people can finally see why Steam DRM was chosen.

They'll likely still complain though.

This. Steam is good, I don't understand the complaints.

A retcon like Broken Steel will not happen again.

Ahhhh that svcks! I don't wanna play with a filthy quest marker tormenting me when I'm playing the game. :(

Note to Obi: make the add-ons more like Point lookout. Have 1 in Hawaii or any location with a big area to explore.
Also, please release them on the PS3 at the same time as the others. :)

No, I really don't see how that has anything to do with it, lots of games have DLC but don't require Steam.

Well, IIRC, the Oblivion DLC system didn't work well, and there was a lot of hate for GFWL. So I would imagine that whoever is in charge chose Steam because of how easy it is to purchase DLC, and so that they won't have to maintain their own servers.

Fine. I suppose this is good news.

But if I'm paying 800ms for these DLCs, I expect them to be on the level of Point Lookout, or at least that size. Alternatively, if they want to bring up something of a smaller scale, charge less -- I didn't think it was fair paying £7 for two hours of below-par gameplay.

This, except for me,10$.After playing mothership zeta,I will be wiating for reviews first befor I buy.

obsidian will prob do some dlc for the game, thats kinda almost a given, i just seriously hope they aren't small, i see why bethesda did the dlc how they did at the time, they wanted to give us more of the game and try some different things, however thats behind us now and i hope the dlc for NV fits in better with the game and also has some new settlements and the ability to take our followers there, i never never could figure out why we couldn't take a follower to PL or the pitt but we could take them to adams air base. having to rehire your followers each time you go to PL or the pitt is a hassle.
