DLC idea.

Post » Mon Feb 14, 2011 5:39 am

Okay.
I was playing fallout 3 for my 7th time. Yeah. 7th time. I was just about to start the Broken steel addon when something came to mind. COMMON WEALTH! Ithat would probably be a good idea foe a dlc. On New vegas. I heard alot of NPCs on Fallout 3 talking about the common wealth. The NPCs saying that is is a technology abundent place. So. Any thoughts on my idea?

No go. The Commonwealth is all the way on the East Coast. And your idea- no offense- has been brought up so many times it makes my teeth hurt.

I don't think it would be great to go from the West Coast to East Coast. Plus, the Commonwealth(which is the state of Massachusetts), deserves its own game, and not a DLC.

I vote a DLC, or new game entirely, That includes Texas....

Texas would be the BAMF state of the wasteland, you'd get there, and it'd be all pretty and green and normal, and you'd be all,"WHat about the Atomic Bombs that fell from space??"
ANd Texas'd be all, "Oh yeah...heard soemthing about that...TBH, CHuck said he'd take care of it...."
Then you'd be all, "HOLY [censored]!! CUCK NORRIS!!"

and then he would round house kick you to the back of the face and turn you into barbeque, THE END~!

But seriously, a fallout with Texas would be so awesome...I'd love to see what weird critters are living there after the great war....

Texas: Was it's own COUNTRY for a while
The only state enter the us under treaty
Has Chuck Norris
Has an economy large enough to supprot itself and once again succeededededed(sp?)
Largest state in the Continental US
Plus, Texas totally rocks the Casbah.

I can see Texas working as "Everything is bigger in Texas" could be a good rule regarding the nuclear impact on creatures : Giant Deathclaws!

Though I feel New Vegas is already using western films as inspiration from the very start...If we go anywhere I would like a change of scenery (For Example how Point Lookout was different from Capital Wasteland)

I do have to agree with your statements on a Fallout Texas. I live in Texas and to tell you the truth: I hate it. Anyways, yes, Chuck Norris would roundhouse kick the nukes and whoever decides to mess with Texas will get a fistful of lead in their face. Also, a giant Deathclaw due to the phrase: Everything's bigger in texas? Hellz to the yeah that would be awesome. Also, How about a radioactive roadrunner or armadillo. The roadrunner would be to quick for you to shoot and the armadillo will grow ten times its size and simply plow you into the ground when it rolls thunderously all over the place.

I would like Texas to be done again and done right in fallout. A fallout game that shall not be named was based in Texas. Texas in fallout one is described as a big Radioactive dust bowl.

Thinking about it if "The Commonwealth" is anywhere near New Vegas I want to go there and liberate the robotic human race!

I found the substory behind the Commonwealth (Such as the advanced science commune) and the robots fighting their masters alongside some humans VERY interesting but I doubt it'll be explored ever again or refrenced.

I hope Chuck Norris never gets a mention in Fallout. I'm sick of people continuously talking about Chuck Norris like it's the most hilarious thing ever.

Anyway, I think the commonwealth would be a good idea for fallout 4. Like others have said it's too large to be confined to a DLC.

I would rather it just stay din the tri state area so no Texas is just outside that.Maybe in a future game.

The game isn't even released yet. And you are already talking about DLCs. :banghead:

7th playthrough?
Not that lot.
I was on my 16th one when I realized I overplayed it and it stopped being fun.
(Without mods)
On a break until I've played New Vegas to death, after that I'll pop in ye ol F3 disc again.

And I'd rather have an expansion and smaller DLC's (200 - 400 MSP) than episodic 800 MSP one's.
