If DLC is other provinces should we be expect TES VI: Akavir

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 8:57 pm

Personally, I don't think the DLC will be other provinces since the 'modern' Elder Scrolls games have all been 1 province. The work involved would surely just be too much for DLC?

However, it's not impossible. And if we did see other provinces in TES V, that would massively diminish Tamriel's lifespan for future games. It may not be by TES VI, but sooner or later we will have seen all of Tamriel. What then?

I still want to see Black Marsh, Summerset Isle, etc... We got a ways to go. Maybe the Empire will expand into Akavir or Atmora?

Each province deserves their own game. So any DLC will be things like Daedric realms and other continents.

I think the world may be up for an expansion. Our world was thought to be a certain size at one point. But there are a few provinces not yet used in games.

Isn't there also a 3rd continent in the lore, but no one's ever been there and it's never been named or something?

More than 3.

There is Pyandonea(home to the Maormer, or tropical elves), Yokuda (home of the Redguards, which sunk according to lore), Tamriel, Thas (Home to the Sloads, slug like mages.), Atmora (Nordic Homeland, I don't recall if it still has inhabitants, but the last immigrant from Atmora was Tiber Septim), and Akavir. And then there is Aldmeris, the presumed homeland of the Aldmer, or proto-elves, but has not been contacted with in a very long time and we aren't even sure it exists. Rumored to lie south of Tamriel.

So, 7.

So if there are eight games left, by the time the last one comes out....

1. I'll be over 60 and still playing.
2. Some people on the forum will not live to see it (probably taken too many arrows to the knee)
3. We will all have PC's the size of a cell phone, xbox 720's, and PS7's
4. Radiant AI will be autonomous, and generate a game world unique to each user, and interfacing and immersion will be perfect with seamless load times.
5. and there will STILL be complaint threads daily on this forum.

Put the Hammerfell and High Rock areas in DLC, and then move on to a game that has 3 provinces in it instead of just 1.

We need TESVI: Elsewhere.

Where it has Valenwood, Elswyer, and Blackmarsh. One nice long strip of exotic awesomeness.

there is more than 8 left, that was just untill we do all of akavir, i did not factor in entire continent games (and i totally ignored atmora [as i should] and the old elven continent), then there is oblivion realms which would be added in on later games, i think the actual number is around 16 TES games in all (16th or 17th [18th? if the elven continent is inculded] is when we get to visit every single deadric realm and all of tamriel/akavir [maybe elven continent], and then they could pull out other realms in oblivion [like the one dagon made to hold a conjurer who made him mad] and possibly atherius)

we got a long ways to go till TES hits the end

Akavir (East of Tamriel) - Home of Tiger, Monkey, Snake, and Snow People
the kamal are ice demons not snow people

By the time we finish visiting all the provinces they'll look so different it'll be like going to a new place. Morrowind is already set up for this.

I want to see the Black Marsh, failing that, Elsweyr will do too. Akavir doesn't really interest me.

Didn't all the elven races all splinter off from a central race from Summerset Isle?

Akavir will please the Anime Freaks and Zelda. It'll be a challenge to make it traditionally Asian without slipping into Pokemon territory. Forgive my disdain for Manga but I live in Japan.

My wish is they could make it something like Mark Smith and Jamie Thompson's Avenger series of Ninja role playing books.
