DLC request (dragon disabling)

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 3:58 am

Bethesda doesn't do optional, or free for that matter. And no, most of us do not assume you are on pc, but you see, EVERYTHING YOU ARE ASKING FOR, will only ever happen (and is already planned if I'm thinking of the correct mod) as a mod. Why? Because YOU, not bethesda, not 99% of people, YOU want this in.

I built my pc because I remembered all the things I wanted in fallout that never got put in. I saved up money for this behemoth, worked 2 jobs with crap hours to get this computer. Because I know when push comes to shove, I am the only person who will ever be able to make my game perfect for me.

I feel that to really make sense dragons should be destroyed, they are a threat to the people, living or dead why is the battle still going after the MQ was to stop it. I don't get it?!

Presumably, as a safey net for players who didn't have all their shouts unlocked before completing the main quest.

shouts are a cool thing, so I guess this is where TES is headed then?!

That, my friend is exactly why I am going to drop about $1500, in 4 weeks.

Speaking from experience here, it will be money well spent.

Believe me, if I were looking for a perfect game, I wouldn't go near a Bethesda product with a ten-foot barge pole.

You know, I'd understand much of the hostility over this if I were requesting something that would force other players to adopt my preferences. Like those players who request that fast-travel be disabled just because they themselves don't like to use it (I don't fast-travel either, but I don't see that as any reason to deny this convenience to other players).

I'm requesting something I'd like to have that, if implemented, wouldn't harm yours or anyone else's gameplay in the least. An entirely optional quest that you can freely ignore. And I'm certainly not the only player who has lamented the fact that random dragons continue to appear post-MQ, so kindly don't single me out as if I'm some kind of anomaly.

I found the boots at level 37 in some dungeon. It's always random and dragons scale items seems to be rarer than daedric items.
Must be, cuz i found a daedric axe, warhammer, and sword in the same dungeon O_O

My hostility comes from how stuck up and rude you've been to everyone else who has bothered to reply. We are looking at this from a REAL perspective. Bethesda has no motivation to change anything, aside from one guy bothered by it. Also, Bethesda's products end up perfect about 2 years after release, thanks to things like unnofficial patches and annoyance removers. The fact is bud, for what it is you want, you are on the wrong system. There isn't much to be done about that.

what harm is it though, it actually makes sense. I mean are we going to expect every TES game from now until the end to be about dragons and shouts. You tell me?!

Bethesda is a company, its not about harm, its about money. unless there is buckets of money to be made it will not get done.

I just find that if TES is about dragons from here to ad infintim. I suspect that this series will sadly die out. They need to work on a new theme and put the dragons to rest imo. Or what began with such a great game like morrowind becomes something like a dragon age's future?

I was very clear in my first post that I was requesting the addition an optional quest, and I still had to repeat myself on that point, and others. So, I don't like it when I have to repeat myself. Sue me.

Speaking of which, in spite of the fact that I've already pointed out to you (in my post you're responding to) that I'm not the only person to make a complaint on these forums about neverending dragon appearances, you've once again singled me out as anomally. Thanks for paying attention.

I'm making a request of the developers. Whether you think it's pointless to do so, or whether you're objecting because you don't care for the suggestion itself means nothing to me. You're just another player, and it's of little consequence to me how many jobs you worked, or how much money you saved up to build your PC. You made that choice. Don't begrudge me just because I don't care to follow your example.

what I realize is they have to scrap the whole concept of skyrim. It really doesn't do justice to TES and I don't like where the future of games is headed in general. Everything has been dumbed down and I don't like it.

I don't see any reason why it would be will be. It just happens to be the theme of this particular game. If they even make reference to Skyrim at all in whatever the next TES happens to be, they could very well establish that the dragons of Skyrim either died off or disappeared, etc.

Like said too bad your on the wrong platform im also still on 360 so i have too live with it .

But i get the impression that Beth main focus is for the PC community reading how exited they are for modding and stuff and reading this
forum also sometimes confuses me of talk between PC gamers and console gamers the gap is too big i think its time beth should reconsider this and put some inovation from the PC community towards the console base .

it cant be that difficult too add some customization options for the console version if i tell you what hellisch path i must walk too add a little spice too my game -reverse pickpocketing too add different costumes takes a damn long way before its achieved why not simply give me the option too customize my follower huh?

where,s your imagination beth ?

you could get some idea,s from other games out there but untill now im sad too say your conso;e games are still an basic vannile
product that is ready for customization for the PC gamers ...yes another reason for me too reconsider my loyalty for you.

And yes i can buy a PC if i want but should i buy it just too have acces too these things hmmm thats a question thats keeping me bussy a lot but my feelings about what i said above somehow stop me from making the final dicision and its because i dont trust you
that much anymore

It's not just Beth that limits it, it's Microsoft and Sony as well. They don't want people tooling around with their stuff.
