Does anyone favour the mace?

Maces are alright sometimes in Skyrim.

Maces are awesome. Combine them with a shield and learn how to block/bash properly before swinging and you can do some serious damage. I also prefer clubbing things to slashing things. I can 'feel' the impact with a mace but I don't get that same feeling with a sword or dagger.

I used to love them in Oblivion, back when blunt was a weapon class. Then I could use hammers and maces without having to feed perk points into two different skills... Maces were my favorite but now I prefer the bow.

Back in Morrowind I liked to use a staff, that is when a staff was a blunt weapon, not a magical rocket launcher.

I commonly prefer blunt weapons, both 1 and 2 handed.

Maces and hammers are tons of fun because of the ignore armor perks.

"Nice set of ebony armor there pal."
*thwack*
"Too bad it counted about as much as a paper screen."

Too bad enemy NPCs Tmost enemies are lightly armored. Even heavy armored enemies frequently have no armor skill, no armor perks and no armor upgrades

Yup, my thief uses dual mace + lots and lots of stamina.

It's fun, looks a lot more like i mean business than if I were just using some swords.

I like the look of the Ebony Mace, but none of the other ones. Dual wielding daggers and the occasional switch to twin Blades Swords or Dawnbreakers suits me just fine.

Hadn't heard that actually.
All I know is that my warhammer wrecks most everything on master, regardless of what they are wearing it seems.

Not really. I stick with one-handed swords. Also, two-handed weapons are just awkward to me.

my vampire uses the mace of molag bol during day time (which is very rare for my vamp to venture outside during daytime) but apart from that never used them in past tes games....

I am on my fourth character, one a dual wielding nord with archer/assassin as a back up, an Orc berserker a khajit assassin, and a sword & board nord.
With all these characters, I have never really found a weapon type that I prefer over the other. Yeah the mace will drop most enemies in 1-2 hits, but with the proper techniques, I can kill just as fast with my sword or an axe.
To be honest, I keep going back to the Skyforge axes, great damage, relative lower weight, and just look bad ass!
