Does finding the elderscroll early ruin game?

Spoiler
The Daedric quest is called "Discerning The Transmundane" and all you need to do to activate this quest is to visit Septimus Signus's Outpost. I love this spoiler button... You must be level 15 to begin the blood harvest. When you return with the lexicon, Signus tells you to collect 6 types of elf blood. On your way out, you are confronted by Hermaeus Mora, the Daedric prince keeper of forbidden knowledge. Once you get the blood, Septimus opens the cube and is killed at the Oghma Infinium. You take the book. Talk to the prince, and then use it to level up either Might, Shadow, or Magic.

Hey guys, just wondering, I found the elder scroll early in the game, well im about level 22, and have only done a little bit of main quest, just came across its location when I was roaming, and go everything needed to go further, ended up getting the scroll, is this going to break my game, or do anything like that?

I did WAY early ( wanted the ogham infinitium asap) and i just carried it around. When you get to where you need it, just talk to the person that gives you the quest immediatly after you get it and you can turn it in. Causes NO problems. Just dont turn it in to the Winterhold library before you get to use it for the main quest.. then it might break the game!

It doesn't weight anything, like any quest item, despite what it says in the description.

Not only does the description say it weighs 20, I've counted all the items in my inventory, and it all adds up to what it says on the bottom of the screen.

Drop or store everything you can. Your encumbrance should go to 0, even with quest items still in your inventory.

Well, look at it this way.

1. It will play a role in the main quest.
2. Do not sell it to anyone who has such dialoge, this will break the main quest.
