It's down to 3.

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 6:22 am

Looking at my older post, http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1139788-e-for-enclave-cl-for-cuddly-losers/, I saw that the topic really kind of shifted around, and ended up about who would be best fit to run the Wasteland, pretty much. I saw a lot of people defending the same 3 factions and constantly backing up their cause honourably, I've run it down to the 3 choices shown above, I'd like to see who people are rooting for and also I'd like to see why people think that faction is fit to run.

I made a second thread because of my organizational OCD :disguise:

Uh, House is my vote. It was his city to begin with.

Or do you mean the entire wasteland?

Where is the vote for Mr. House? I'm sort of leaning towards him for now.

Also OP, you might want to contact the moderators and tell them close and redirect your old thread to here before they come to this one, close it, and tell you to go back to the one you were just on. Just sayin'.

NCR - they are the best of a bad bunch, and there is no such thing as an utopia.

Enclave. They are one of the very few factions able to produce their own equipment, and was the only faction that was still advancing technologically after the Great War (assuming they were completely obliterated after their defeat on the East Coast).

I chose the NCR. while they are weak and spread thin. They have a history of generally helping people. The Enclave are Facists. The CL are into slavery and the have a totalitarian goverment. While The NCR does have some corruption, i believe in the long run they would the most beneficial

I voted "None of the above" because I don't particularly like any of them.

To be honest you shouldn't have put that option in there. If you had left it out this would have been similar to a real election, in that we'd be stuck voting for the one that is likely to [censored] us over the least. You gotta love "democracy" lol.

Tossing my support to Yes Man!!!
I was saddened by the fact that Jim Carrey wasn't given the role of Yes Man.

And my vote goes to Mr. House. Though I'm sure he'd just hack a Securitron and give the rest of the wasteland the finger and just continue letting Vegas thrive.

NCR. It's the closest thing to a substantial government, besides the Enclave. But they're not looking towards genocide to regain "normality".

The NCR is politically and militarily incompetent (evidence being their current situation at the Dam). If the Legion had substantial equipment, then the NCR would have been driven from the Dam a long time ago.

Marcus is the most level-headed person I have ever met. I think it'd be better off under his leadership.

Caesar's legion again because they are trying to build an Empire with a central cultural and political identity instead of a loose confederation which will only stay united as long as they all agree and as soon as they see no benefit in having a central government the nation degenerates into a useless bureaucracy. Caesar sees that NCR's Government is corrupt and will eventually degenerate into Civil War due to the fact that the Government is to preoccupied dealing with the Caravan and Brahmin families. If anything Caesar's Legion winning in Vegas will be a wake up call to the government that a Republic is supposed to serve all the people not just the wealthy. As for the Legion's slavery and punishment system they should be making the captuerd trooper's and criminal's state slaves while letting the regular people just live their lives. That is my view on the Legion

Voted NCR because I'm not a commie.

And I am voting NCR because there is no "commie" option and they are the lesser of all non-commie evils. I guess that everything meets in the middle evenutally, eh? ;)

Well,,, NCR

The best choice of a bad bunch.

The Enclave? Did I miss something? It isn't easy to run a wasteland if you've been defeated and wiped off the face of what's left of the Earth. Or, are we assuming they are still sequestered in the Great White North just waiting to make a comeback?

Robert House. He will take care that no train in the USA ends up getting late to the station :disguise:
But since Mr. House was banned from the election I guess I'll vote for NCR.

The NCR scares me because it is as inefficient as the country we live in today. Every time i see one i just smash their heads off or blow them off with an anti-material rifle.
