Yes but xcrimsonlegendx said if you carve wood to look like a fork its still a fork. That's neither a blade or a weapon

It's a game. A sword can be made out of mammoth dung and do 20 points of E. coli poison damage on each hit.

If dragon bone and scale has the properties to be armor it can be a sword.

I like katana style stuff and in keeping with the Blades lore of dragon slaying I am hoping for a carved katana style weapon. Light and strong.

No, a fork is not a sword and I wasn't trying to say it was.

It is however a tool, a blade can be made of many things. There are plastic knives for barbecues, does that make them not knives? I could carve a sword out of anything as long as it looks and functions as a sword, it's a sword. This is The Elder Scrolls, anything can be a sword, they could make a sword of cheese and we'd have to deal with it.
Lol I'd like a cheese sword. A plastic knife is a knife, but its not a real blade

I'm thinking that the dragonbone weapons will look something like how kahvozein's fang looks. After all, isn't that what the dagger is made out of? Also, I believe the dragonbone bow (and arrow) is in the trailer at the :50 mark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PjBSicSVqI

The Dragon weapons are amazing looking to say the least. And unfortunately thats all that can be said. All I can suggest is that you may want to save quite a lot of scales and bones for when the expansion is officially released.

Been doing that for a couple days now! It really helps that my carrying capacity is over 3000 haha.

Yeah, you'll be just fine there. 500lbs here though (xbox360). But it's all good with 300+ and counting dragon bones/scales, leather/straps and firewood waiting for use at Breezehome. Bring on the Vampires!

I'm also on the 360. I don't know if you can answer this, but do you have to have the dragon smithing perk to make the weapons? My smithing is only at level 24. (I don't wear armor)

It appears dawn-guard is adding alot of cool weaponry, the weapons the dawnguard uses (special sword, and two-handed, so far), Dragon weapons , Crossbows and who knows what else....

Not really. It defeats the purpose of a sword, wouldn't it just be a sword shaped club? What's wrong with just an awesome bone hilt. Anyway I'm sure it will be all bone I just hope it won't
Dragonbone is magick.Problem solved.

There was a mod for PC that included dragonbone weapons .. im all about dragonbone but i play on xbox so i'm hoping Bethesda raise the bar and make them look better than the mod versions (which i must say do look good)

Guuuuuyyyysss... DX This argument's pointless. Dragons are mythical creatures, ones not even fully understood by the denizens of their own universe! Who's to say that their bones don't have the properties of steel? Or wood? Or glass? Maybe it's perfect for swords, maybe it's impossible to craft a sword out of. How would we know? You're all just going off your pre-concived bine-biases.

Dragon = Dragon smithing. Going to have to boost up you smithing skill there.

Well there is [censored due to non-disclosure agreement]. And let me tell you that weapon is awesome.

Armour is not a blade.

So let me get this straight, your argument is that Dragonbone cannot be made into weapons because they make good Armour therefore there properties surely cannot make deadly weapons, and to back it up your argument is 'Armour is not a blade'...

Let me take you into the real world and the basics of Skyrim:

Steel can be made into armour... can also be made into a blade
Ebony can me made into armour.... can also be made into a blade
Any smithing material you name can me made into Armour... can also be made into a blade

Therefore, even by infant intelligence, it is safe to assume that even though Dragonbone can be made into armour, it could easily be made into a deadly blade.

*clicks fingers*

Dragons are mythical creatures? I suppose you think Jesus is just a poorly written character :)
Seriously though, I'm just trying to argue in favour of a metal blade they may or not have

Well your wrong so don't worry about it :)
Blades need to be pattern welded, folded and tempered and much more tougher than armour. A bullet can penetrate armour but it will barley even scratch a well forged blade. Would you consider clashing and imitation sword against a real one?
Actually don't it would be a very bad idea

Heh. Evil aren't we? But suffice to say the Dragon weapons do look quite amazing and sleek. My personal fave is the [censored due to non-disclosure agreement]. And that's coming from an archery based player.
