They have become boring after you finish the first time mainquest, are nothing more than mosquito whatever is your level or equipment, really badly scripted and too much predictable, annoying like flies and good only for take some money without effort.

With the third character i don't do the main quest for not trigger this annoying flying thing over my head, game is alot better without them.

Give this mod a try if you're finding killling the dragons too easy now. It also has an option that gives new loot/craftable gear from new dragon drops:

I prefer to just watch the dragons fly around. Lately some of my dragons are just not hostile, which I am loving.

Dragons are easy to avoid. Especially on a horse. Don't keep running, walk and do small sprints when the Dragon is close. It takes littler effort to stay away from them. Top of mountains however you can get a little stuck.

The main quest line starts the dragons. In fact, it depens how far you go from the very start. You can have none, just a rare few or a lot if you progress to killing one in the quest line. So be aware of that when you make a new toon.

"As i have progressed and now at a much higher level, dragons now seem constantly appearing. I can honestly say i fight more dragons than sabre cats and bears. Its now become annoying, not because im still thinking ' oh [censored] ' but more ' oh please, im not interested ive got other things to do '. I just want to get on with what i was currently doing. Not take a 5 min timeout..."

I agree they have now become a nuisance. Perhaps there needs to be a new Shout, "B*gger off, I am busy", which causes the dragon to look offended and fly away.

And here I thought it was just me, since I past level 30, dragons are frickin EVERYWHERE. Every time I fast travel there are one or more waiting in the skys and I've had to fight 2 at once on several occasions, not that I cant handle them, its jusy a damn annoyance. I also agree their loot table svcks bad, a unique weapon/ armor/ item would be a welcome change from 3 bones, 2 scales 300 gold and a hunting bow...

After completing the main quest, they have become as rare as hen's teeth for me....it's a lonely little world for the dragonborn of legend when there aren't any dragons. :(

I always assumed that the reason dragons don't have better loot was because of how they return to the world, and the fact it's technically only been days since they have. Weren't buried with much, and haven't had time to collect a lot.

That said, them having better stuff would be nice.

The 'randomness' of them also isn't all that random. In my games, and while they differ from character to character, you can always tell what kind of place or situation will have a dragon. Like in one the Mage's College ALWAYS has one. That character has over a hundred dragon bones alone. It's ridiculous.

I will never forget how much i was in awe when i saw & fought the first dragon, a lot of hours later & dragons have become like a visit from the inlaws on sunday, Too much of a good thing can be tiresome.

Nah they are generally needed otherwise you would be like, "Where are all the effin dragons".

Also they always have gold and stuff on them to loot.

Not true,
After the first 2 characters I was completely sick of them. Now on my new character I haven't even touched the Main Quest and I am having alot more fun with the game and enjoying it. I was sick of them killing off quest givers in every open town, Orc Camp, or mining village I came across. I am now level 44 and have no plan to do it at all so far.

You guys know that the further into the main quest you go, the more common dragons become, right. Just finish the main quest and MOST dragons will leave you alone. Hell, when I went to go fight Krosis, the dragon on that hill actually helped me fight him.
