Druid character possible?(not like in wow)

At least some of the Foresworn seem to follow a religion that has at least a few things in common with historical druids. I think you might shoehorn reverence for Hagravens and the cult of Hircine the Hunter into this. I know you can't join the Foresworn but there are at least a few quests involving positive Foresworn faction around Markath and Falkreach.

If you are on the PC, I have two mods that will help.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=10860 makes natural animals friendly to you (wolves, bears, sabre cats, etc...)

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=10733 allows you to summon those animals.

Tes has never had a good version of the "Druid" from d&d. Dragon age did a bit with the nature magic, but you will have to kind of crowbar your own not quite Druid into Skyrim.

Other then the shapechanging abilities (and you can kind of get that from werewolf) it wouldn't be that hard to pull it off. Hell there are even Scimitars in skyrim, which is the classic druid weapon.

Wood Elf plus shouts give you an animal companion, plus you can buy a warhound (okay I admit I'm stretching).

Might make this my next build after I get my spellshield to level 50.

What a druid build would really need (and would be a nice touch to magic as a whole) would be nature magic; I don't even necessarily mean a new skill tree, it could tie in perfectly with the others. For instance, in destruction we could have that kind of wasp swarm spells spriggans use, and where we have Fire, Frost and Storm antronachs in conjuration we could summon a spriggan too. When it comes to illusion we could bring back command creature (and have a kind of "command creature thrall" spell so we could keep familiars. I reckon that's what a druid could really need. Additional perks could be things like +10% spell effectiveness whilst near woodland, things like that.

Never get the dragonstone.
Yet, if the Dragonstone was never retrieved and you never fought the dragon, then there is no way to use shouts such as the befriend animals and change weather shouts which someone wanting to RP as a druid might want.

A Lycropanthy (didn't spell that right) Tree would help to make a Druid class possible.

I don't think getting a warhound is a stretch at all. sounds perfect to me. I would go with that, being a werewolf, and maybe summoning familiars and flame familiars.

Another thing...to the "Werewolves are so pointless in higher levels" bandwagon....i say BAH. Werewolves are always a plus. It's fun to play as one and you don't get diseases. Considering Skyrim is in fact a game, having fun is tops.
