Easiest way to get character to level 50?

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 9:50 am

Mage, Warrior or Thief stone + Sleep to get faster skill lvevel
Level all skills, but use perks only on favorites.
At about lvl 20 I get tired of low lvl loot and easy kills. So I equip weapons and armor that are low level and as the skills level your lvl goes up fast.

ps: Faster lvling does not make your opponents easy to kill, at least not when you do it my way.

Here is how I did it

One handed/Archery: I summoned a Flame atronach, and I killed him over and over again

Block/Heavy Armor/Light Armor: Run around until you find an enemy, Do not attack him, just let him hit you, healing and possibly retreating as you go, some of the animals I used were, mudcrabs, sabre cats, and frost trolls, (I was a high level by the time I did the last two)

Armourer: Find a pickax and a convientent iron vien, just mine iron and make iron daggers, you will need to buy the animal hides, but you can convert that into leather straps easily, and the iron dagger should cover the cost of that.

Very funny btw.

I tried to race to 50 for the achievement. I'm now at 58 wishing I'd of savoured my first play through with out achievement hunting. I've enjoyed it but not as much as I would of with out achievements. Btw I can confirm killing stuff does level you up

Not if you kill with fists or torches or staffs.or a weapon that you are already at level 100 with

Play the game naturally and train five levels of a skill every level. You get to 50 soon enough. My current character just hit 50 and he's already getting a little boring to me. The fun part of the game is the building of a character.

But in doing that (training by killing summoned creatures) you get each time an "Assault" in your journal crime stats. For someone playing "good" its not recommended as very confusing with other assaults to avoid. I used to do that in the previous Elder Scrolls but I soon realized that in Skyrim training is different. So, like you, I used mudcrabs and then trolls or frost trolls.

Just go to a remote location. I don't consider it evil, even if the game does, so I don't know why roleplaying a good character would tamper with that strategy, I mean, it is your creature, it's not like it permanatly dies or anything. (Does it?) AT least its better than hitting your horse

I just checked, with my first character, I only had 40 assualts, but I know I killed way more than 40 atronoches

You shouldn't need to be high-level to beat the Dragon Priests. Just make use of the skills you have most effectively. Take a good look at your build and see if you are wasting anything - if you have a high alchemy, you need to carry and use potions effectively, if high smithing, all your gear should be maxed out, high enchanting, wear a full set of enchanted gear to the best of your ability. Same goes for sneak, archery, or whatever.

Also, because things tend to level up with you, leveling up too fast can make the game harder, take your time to get all the best equipment for your level rather than rush it

Increasing your magic resistance and element resistance will help you. Getting Summon Atronach Staves from the Atronach Forge will help as well.

I want to get to level 50 (or at least level 40) 'cause I actually want to be able to kill things without being killed first. xD i.e. Alduin.

A lot of the un-named enemies level up right along with you. So unless you gain more combat prowess at each level than they do, the higher levels actually get harder.
That's not true of Alduin (afaik) but it is true of pretty much every Drugar (including the lords) and Falmer in the game.

Granted, its not all that hard to pull this off, but it does indicate you are asking the wrong question. The issue is not how to level "easiest" but how to level with the greatest increase in survivability.

I would never hit a horse (took care of horses) and I hate reading about it. It's crazy. You are quite right in your deductions and it's why I did it too until I realized that I had more than a hundred assaults. So I reloaded a saved game and went to mudcrabs. I don't understand why they put assaults when you train with your own summoned creatures. They don't want us to train like in Morrowind or Oblivion I suppose. Would be too easy? But training with a mudcrab is easy also. I have just reach 100 in Destruction (was 95) training with Trolls using flames and heal other. Boring but it works well at these last levels. My character is a warrior one-handed wearing only light armor. Glass (beautiful) and dragonscale. Daedric weapons. Using mostly my dagger.

Edit: And before you ask: Yes I even feel sorry for my poor Troll. I must convince me that's only a game.

You can power level speech in riften.

Can you still do this after 1.4?

Don't forget the dawnstar chest for free enchanted gear, filled soul gems and other goodies.

Oh yeah... the Dawnstar chest is like my personal ATM. Everyone talks about money being super available in Skyrim... but I haven't really found that to be the case. I have to hustle my ace off in order to sell off the chest's goodies. I make a sales loop. Most of my money goes to training... since I'm level 47, the trainers charge a mighty rate. It's approximately 6k-7k for me to get all 5 skill levels from a trainer.

Im not sure if they have patched the level cap or not but the cap is around 70-80. The best way to level up fast is to increase difficulty then go to the greybeards sneak behind them and attack them while you're still hidden, then go to dawnstar and do that chest glitch then repeat.

I'll just find a way to smith a ton of iron daggers, then. Iron ingots can't be that hard to find, right? x_x

If you're already going that route, you're better off making hide bracers, all you need is to get lots and lots of skin from exterior beasts. From that you can make leather and strips, and that's all you need + getting those hides will level up your combat skills in the process.

Getting 50 requires 6.8 skills to 100 so Id say find 7 skills you like to use and go crazy. Others have given good suggestions. I hear pickpocketing goes up quick and you get good money too, but you will need a fence then.

Okay, soooo I'm currently only level 25... and I was wondering what the quickest way is to get my character's total level to 50 is. There are a lot of quests (such as killing hte Dragon Priests) that are really hard at the level I'm at right now, so does anyone have any useful tips for me? x_x I'm kinda desperate here, haha.

Keep playing the game, and buy training every time you level.

It depends if you like pickpocketing. My only pickpocket was to steal the key to help the child Nelkir in "Whispering door" quest. I had only 20 in that skill and 37 in sneak. I had to drink an invisible potion, get in sneak mod and steal. I know invisibility doesn't have anymore effect if you touch something but it helped me in that case. I still have 20 and 37 in those skills at level 74. So now it depends how one wishes to play.

If it has not been said, then abuse smithing, alchemy, enchanting. As well as sneak attack glitch, speech glitch and the shadowmere glitch.

-Buy training
-Focus on several skills
-Walk in and clear every uncleared cave you find.
-Check every book in case it's a skill book.
I'm about level 48.

Good Lord. You do not need to hurry, but if you want to, the question is with cheese or without cheese? Well if you are in a real hurry, you have to do it with cheese.

It is easy to develop a high level magic user. There are easily found training regimens for each school of magic. The first thing to do is get some money together from alchemy. Then get yourself any item with the Banish enchantment and disenchant it. You now can make money limited only by the petty gems and iron/leather generated every two days of game time or so. Alchemy is also pretty much infinite money too. Or you can spend the money to go from each major city to the other in search of more ingredients/gems/iron/leather.

You will want do do the Riverwood quest that gives you the archery trainer as a companion, and take the money you spend on training out of his pocket. Also, once you are making infinite $$$, you can basically train at merchants like Grelka, and then sell items to recover the cash you spent on training. Remember to loot the hidden chest in Dawnstar and at resets too. Always train 5 times per level, and the highest level skills you can. If you get an early start, you can be enjoying your level 50 character by evening. And you won't have even left the towns.

Personally, I find cheese boring.
