Easiest way to get character to level 50?

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 8:46 pm

Okay, soooo I'm currently only level 25... and I was wondering what the quickest way is to get my character's total level to 50 is. There are a lot of quests (such as killing hte Dragon Priests) that are really hard at the level I'm at right now, so does anyone have any useful tips for me? x_x I'm kinda desperate here, haha.

Why are you so desperate to get to level 50? Just play the game and enjoy it, its not a race. And when you get the that level, you will have earned it.

I want to get to level 50 (or at least level 40) 'cause I actually want to be able to kill things without being killed first. xD i.e. Alduin.

Honestly man, the best thing to do is play. You don't have to kill the dragon priests right away - just do some of the side quests and clear some dungeons. I've just been wondering the countryside and going into dungeons I happen to find and it's worked out so far. I'm nearly level 38 and I'm less than half way throught the main quest. There is so much to do that you'll eventually get to 50 and probably have stuff to spare on your "to-do" list.

If your having a rough go around lower the difficulty to novice. That should help some, as far as quick leveling goes I heard you can smith your way quickly by making iron daggers but I haven't tried it yet.

Maybe he is not smithing and is upset he has not seen a daedric weapon or piece of armor yet? I expected to see those things by 50 lol. I have seen one enchanted daedric bow sold by tonilia (I want to enchant by own damn bow thank you) and one dagger in 50 levels and 150 hours of playing this game. IMHO Daedric equipment is way too rare in this game if your playing a character who does not smith.

If you smith you can see daedric crap by lvl 15 or 20 or so. No smithing = loot= good luck even after lvl frigen 50 lol

The thing is, I'm already at Skuldafn and there's a Dragon Priest blocking my way to Alduin... Nahkriin is apparently really hard to kill, and I've been completely decimated by every Dragon Priest so far. x_x So I'm wondering if I would just be better off starting over with a new character and trying to get to a higher level before bothering to face Alduin.

Smithing, Enchanting and Alchemy are three easy-to-level perks that can get you a long way to level 50. They'll cost you at first, but when you combine them you'll be making money by the buckets, and it allows you to make your character as overpowered as you want.

I'll just find a way to smith a ton of iron daggers, then. Iron ingots can't be that hard to find, right? x_x

Lower your difficulty if u plan on smithing iron daggers the iron can be purchased but it's limited amounts at a time.

Besides just the advice above to have fun...

Try to rest and make use of the Guardian stones as much as possible. Or alternatively, the Lovers Stone.

Mix up your playstyle a lot. Constantly level up skills you want the character to have. Don't just swing a weapon a lot, but block, use archery, healing, alteration spells, whatever. Just be as active as possible. I'd also recommend Expert or Master, as it helps draw out fights a bit longer (thereby increasing skill boosts in each encounter).

What are you playing? A warrior, a mage, a thief? What is your current status? It's not easy to answer if we don't know.

Training.

Make sure you are training between each level.

You can power level speech in riften.
You can make daggers and enchant them with banish to make money and level enchanting and blacksmithing.
Don't forget the dawnstar chest for free enchanted gear, filled soul gems and other goodies.
Casting muffle over and over and rest for hour to recharge mana to level illusion fast.
Stab graybeards in back to level sneak.

And train between every level.

For the most part, I'm a rogue. I have a pretty high Sneak level, and I prefer One-Handed weapons but I am attempting to level Archery, as well.

At the moment, the Oghma Infinium seems like my best bet. Thank you very much for that tip. :)

Good. But you must also increase your enchanting. So after you finished smithing a lot of iron daggers you'll have to enchant them with the highest enchantment you can and sell them one by one to increase your Speech as well. I suppose you know where to find petty or lesser soul gems. Read posts on this Forum. You'll find good advices.

Go to the Lord Stone to get more protection: 50 pts of Damage resistance and 25% of Magic resistance. You need it.

If you just want to get past the one dragon priest use storm call and summon atronach's then it should be pretty easy.

On my first run I did the civil war, MQ, Companions and College quests, most of the town quests and most of the dungeons whilst exploring, and only hit 48. Second character was very similar (other than build) and got to 52. My third character did a lot more messing about crafting and exploring and hit 50 before progressing significantly with the MQ or guild quests, so it's true that training more skills will level you faster rather than relying on the combat skills alone.
Of course, the downside is that if you level fast crafting whilst not building your combat skills, then enemies get pretty tough (around the level teens) before they get easier again - but persevere and you'll get there.

Very funny btw.

I tried to race to 50 for the achievement. I'm now at 58 wishing I'd of savoured my first play through with out achievement hunting. I've enjoyed it but not as much as I would of with out achievements. Btw I can confirm killing stuff does level you up
