RP elementsmechanics you'd like to see in TES.

working disguises would be epic. imagine sneaking into a bandit camp dressed as one of those bandits! id also like eating, sleeping, resting, etc, to have more of an affect (not sure how tho). narcotics (ie skooma) would be cool. leading a faction more realistically (assigning tasks, managing facilities, etc).... just some thoughts

I was thinking about this earlier. Dressing up as a Bandit or Forsworn, entering their camp without a problem, and then murdering them as they slept would be fun.

Also, I think linking Stamina to sleeping would be interesting. The longer you went without sleep, the slower your Stamina would regenerate.

I'd like to be able to turn off the compass and sneak crosshair.

PC or console? The compass is easily done on the PC (change a setting in skyrimprefs.ini). On the console, your only option is to turn down the hud opacity to zero, but then you don't see ANYTHING you're looking at (no text comes up). I totally agree that the hud should be customizable.

Not necessarily grave robbing. Even looting Draugr or the burial urns etc just seems wrong to me so I'd rather stay away from digging up graves to loot them, that's seriously screwed up stuff and I don't think it's right for Bethesda to encourage that sort of thinking.

Grave robbing is a long- long- long-standing Nordic tradition. It's also been a staple of TES since Daggerfall.

Most of what I see in this thread so far could most likely be covered by mods. And what is this fascination with the dead? Getting a bit attached to your dead followers, eh? :)

A lot of things could be given a toggle; health bar, stamina, kill cams, compass, etc.

Also I like the idea of quest directions.

Defiantly like the animations for eating and sleeping.

And more clothing customization sounds great too.

Let me be a real bard and play instruments. No singing but at least play something.

Dont make health regenerate all alone. Add a enchanment that has health regen.

More magic variety, quality, and quantity. I know spellmaking can be imbalanced but mixing spells the way the game james showed would be great.

Agreed! Isn't it funny how little things like this that could be standard in every game...aren't?

Yeah you had like 50 wrestlers each with a couple outfits and you could alter them to have a dozen different colors.

I'm thinking specifically of WCW vs NWO: World Tour. Future N64 wrestling games had even more features.

a tw2 crafting system I'm sick of finding a cool looking weapon and then having it become useless and replace it with a dumb looking weapon and I want to dye clothes/armor and have capes

I don't have to imagine. I use to do that in Fallout: New Vegas. But really it would only work with groups that have actual uniforms, like the Legion, Stormcloaks, city guards, etc. Simple bandits wearing anything they can get their hands on, though, probably wouldn't work. And the Foresworn would only work if you could disguise yourself as a Breton.

larger Cities. Like from the Better Cities mod of Oblivion. Generic NPCs like "Wizard, Whiterun CItizen, etc"

Hunger and Thirst.

Repairing equipment.

Capes and Hooded Capes

Better Vampires

Radiant Bandit raids on cities.

If you kill a named Merchant, they are replaced with a generic merchant.

  • Playing instruments, roleplaying a bard for money in taverns
This you could do in Realms of Arcania; and it was PC skill dependent; you could also send your thief into the crowd to fleece what they could manage from the patron's pockets.

i agree that grave robbing seems wrong. Draugr don't seem that off-limits to me, but graves should be sacred
It depends on what personality of character you play... Also a necromancer is only going to see graves as a resource to be used.

I would like to see character stats return, they were a primary means of distinguishing one character from another; monitoring PC development; empowerment, and they are the main way for a game to plausibly determine success or failure by the PC in a stat affected task.
